Karthik has a double role in this . He comes to Chennai as a jobless youth and befriends Janak Raj . They attend an interview by Silk Smita who is looking for smart good looking intelligent boys . Karthik passes this test and is duly hired by Vinu chakravarthy . He wants Karthik to lure Chitra the pretty daughter of MLA Somayajulu . Karthik does that with his usual charm and Chitra falls for him. Vinu Chakravarthy gives him a bouquet of flowers with a bomb hidden when he goes to meet Somayajulu . with this , he dies and Karthik is arrested and thrown in prison with his friend Janak raj. Slowly he realises who is behind this . The jailer ( Another Karthik ) is very helpful and aids him in eliminating his enemies one by one. Chitra has to look cute ,dress trimly , look lost , cry and sing songs . she does it very well. Karthik is the back bone of this movie , he emotes very well , romances very well , sings and dances very well with both Chitra and Silk Smita . It's a rare treat watching Silk Smita in sarees .
