I've never seen anything quite like An American Masquerade. The acting was fantastic all around, and I really enjoyed the dialogue. There was some heavy subject matter but enough levity overall to make the film enjoyable from start to finish. I also know more about drugs than I should probably admit, and that aspect seemed realistic. I can see how something like this could happen if 3 people needed money quickly and had the opportunity to do this. I think that Elissa Dowling is an underrated gem. The script was solid and the story was innovative and not something that I've seen a thousand times. A-plus.
