Ondu Shikariya Kathe

Very well made movie. Story is very different. Climax gave justice to the movie. Even though movie is slow it's not even one bit boring.

Thin line story stretched a bit. This may look suitable for drama plays.. but didn't suit much well for a film.

This movie is one more writer's delight. Sandalwood is doing good and this movie is another proof of it. Casting is top notch. And the villain of the movie is greed. Out of greed what people can't get back is the crux of the story. The drama level of treating the same is not everyone's cup of tea but one who can appreciate it wholeheartedly can have a proper cinema experience out of this movie.

The film has been written and directed well. The screenplay though feels like reading a novel especially on the likes of those stories that appeared in Sudha/ kasturi/ Thushara magazines. If I wanted to READ a novel/ story, I would have read one. The writing wasn't wasn't great for a 'feature film'. The pace of the film is very slow but it does hold a grip from the time of the first major incident. But the climax is more of an abrupt halt than an open ending. There are many characters and every character has been used well in the script. But because the title of the film is 'Ondu SHIKHARIYA Kathe', the climax felt incomplete.

This movie simply falls into the top category of story telling in recent years. The story is so profoundly told that it leaves many impressions on your mind which will last for many days. Excellent performance from lead artists, top class direction combined with soothing music and great photography.

Such movies are rare breed in current cinemas specially in Kannada. Sachin Shetty is very promising young director.
