Why Dinosaurs?

I really enjoyed the film, educational, great shots, and very well put-together. I actually watched it a few times, and found the flow of the film very intriguing and engaging, it in a way sucks you in, and you don't feel the time passing.

I can tell so much research was done, which is very impressive, def recommend it!

I consider myself fortunate to have attended multiple screenings of Why Dinosaurs in both the USA and the UK. It's been a true pleasure getting to know Tony, James, Tara, and many of the paleontologists in the film. The documentary does an artful job of combining fascinating stories, amusing anecdotes, and informative interviews with scientists relating historically and scientifically important dinosaur discoveries and truly drilling down on the meat of the question of why we humans love dinosaurs so much. I greatly enjoyed the way the film features not just well-known scientists but also showcases a diverse range of passionate museum professionals including curators, educators, and exhibits people. It also features some fantastic dinosaur hobbyists that share their unending passion for these magnificent animals in their own unique and sometimes hilarious ways. As a paleontologist myself, it was particularly rewarding to bring my teenage daughter along to several screenings of the film and see how much she enjoyed it. After one of the screenings, she turned to me and said "Dad, I loved the film because now I know a lot more about what you do and also, why you love it so much." Her comment was not only personally meaningful, but importantly, it was proof that the film had accomplished its goal of answering the question Why Dinosaurs? To anyone who loves dinosaurs and fossils in general, this is an essential documentary that you absolutely must see.
