A New Husband for Christmas

My wife started watching this: At first I thought this is horrible. But as we continued watching, I guess I got used to the variability of acting skills and the bad sound sometimes. BUT the message is what kept me watching. It was great! Reminded me of early Kendrick brothers movies. I didn't think the characters were stereotypical. As you continue watching the movie and giving it a chance, the characters who start out a certain way become more real.

I give this an 8 for the message mainly. There are some character who were colorful and funny too, I thought. Yes, some kind of stiff, but I can overlook all that as long as there is a message like this movie had.

It just seemed like I was watching a church play. The actors didn't sound like professionals. Nor did the script writer or the person who added that music to the background. I so wanted to like this film because I knew it would have a positive message, but the second time someone mentioned purchasing that book...I tapped out. I see what they were trying to do, but maybe they should've hired more experienced professionals. I mean this in the nicest way. Whoever is responsible for this movie can probably produce some fantastic films in the future, but this one. I couldn't get through it. I had to turn it off.

I love watching Christmas movies so when I stumbled upon this one, I was intrigued. Within 15 mins. I wanted to turn it off but couldn't. I was enjoying making fun of all the bad acting, awful dialogue, ridiculous outfits...the list goes on. Don't watch this unless your saved or love hate watching bad movies!

The low budget and acting wasn't a deterrent. It was the preachy "let Jesus fix it" brainwashed message being slimed from pulpits today. It was all about what women should be doing from a literal acceptance of the Bible. No wisdom, no understanding of scripture. While it was a nice way to pass the time, my heart goes out to women swallowing this garbage.

The movie started off with potential then later just gradually went from bad to worse.
