फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
BLIGHT was an incredibly well done film. Filled with fantastic acting, a wonderful story line, great editing, and beautiful music, this film hit all the right spots!
As a horror fanatic, and horror actress, I am very familiar with the essentials for a great horror film. BLIGHT surpassed those essentials!
The cast of this film was stellar. Their great chemistry was very noticeable right from the beginning. Thus, their performance together created realism that made me feel for their characters. Each character had great depth, and was matched with an actor who perfectly portrayed them. I would mention specific names, but each actor truly killed their roles.
The cinematography throughout this film was incredible. The "found footage" trope is very common, and very hard to accomplish properly. The moments of the film that utilized the "found footage" were incorporated flawlessly. The rest of the film was executed and lit beautifully. Props to the production crew here. Filming in a house during night time is no easy feat! Everything was clear, in focus, and had a beautiful hue. The opening title sequence to this film was INCREDIBLE. Incorporating line art illustration (which makes its way back into the film) was a fantastic idea.
The music in this film was GORGEOUS. Every scene was underscored with music that heightened them. Eerie music played throughout the intense parts of the film and gave me literal goosebumps. I could tell that this music was specially crafted for this film - by composers who know what they are doing. Music can make or break a film, and this soundtrack deserves everything! The only issue I had with this film, and it was very minor, is that one specific track at the beginning was a little too loud, so I was struggling to hear the dialogue.
Lastly, I want to discuss the storyline. One of the standout parts of the film. I am a HUGE fan of the "slow burn" horror type. BLIGHT accomplished the "slow burn" wonderfully. I was anxiously awaiting what was going to happen next. I do not normally get scared during horror films. I pride myself on my strength. But this film had me covering my eyes, and jumping constantly. The build up to the (mysterious) reveal at the end of the film was just enough to keep me engrossed. The execution of the plot was very natural, which allowed me to better connect with the characters and story.
BLIGHT is a fantastic film that horror fanatics will LOVE. Indie horror films are notorious for their camp, their horrible script, and decent acting. This film completely flipped the genre into something new: A-List Indie Horror.

From the very beginning this movie had me hooked and left with a feeling of dread.... in the best way possible. Most indie films suffer from being predictable, that is not a problem here. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.
This movie had real potential! The acting, camerawork, and plot were more than decent. But I HATE HATE HARE movies that never explain what happened, and do not give the audience enough information to deduce it. It is called "tricking the audience" and it sucks.
I have no idea what I just watched. Are we dealing with ghosts? Is it aliens? Let's shake the camera a few times and make a movie. We'll let the viewers figure it out. Lol and whoever did sound needs to learn that music should not overpower the dialogue. Not to mention how many times the volume goes up then down up and down. One start for not going beyond the 75m mark. There are no spoils to spoil.
This movie had so much potential in the beginning. The characters were believable, good camera work, dialogue felt genuine, etc. But by a third of the way in it seems like no one could decide what plot they wanted for the movie, so they decided to just throw in a bunch of different horror cliches. Nothing tied together or made sense. There wasn't even a hint of an explanation, where we could call it an "open ending." Just a bunch of friends getting attacked.
