Kotpad Weaving: The Story of a Race Against Time

I am a textile design student and have watched the documentary for research purposes. But not only did they document a remote craft ,they did it very beautifully and it was also helpful for my research. Thank you for doing the hard work that would even benefit others.

I would really thank bnr films to bring kotpad weaving to us , they have done an amazing job. I am a fashion designer i alwayz wanted to bring odisha art in fashion industry but these talented team had intiated a great step for it. People talk about sustainable fashion using natural dye but people of koraput have been doing from decade. Hope this documentry film will draw attention to more people from all over the world. And start supporting #localforvocal. 👍🏻

Watched this Documentary on Kanccha Lannka OTT. I would like to appreciate BnR films for the effort in Promoting the #brandodisha from very far corner village, i loved all the interviews and facts from the admins along with the process from the Horses mouth. Kotpad has been a brand for Odisha and it's to stay & needs to be promoted globally. This is a real tribute to the weavers and the villagers, now KOTPAD has gone global thanks to BnR films and Kanccha Lannka. I wish Biswa, the best wishes and I request Govt. Of Odisha to take more widespread steps to promote and encourage weavers. Jay Jagannath, Jay Odisha !

Very nicely documented. Such a nice flow (thanks to editing also) and such an interesting topic that it doesn't bring in the boredom of a documentary 😉 In the middle, the cons and the pros were brought so interestingly, balancing and challenging each other👌🏼 And the simultaneous visualisation when the lady worker was narrating the dying process - too good.

The narration was also very nice and by a nice voice After watching the movie I feel like going to the village and buying some drapes - not only to boost this industry but also to enjoy this ergonomic & comforting fabric and the earthly style.

Kotapad fabric is one of the best fabric I ever seen. Naturally made, no chemical, skin supportive. It's the golden time as the whole world is thinking about nature friendly and carbon negative products. So why not to promote Kotapad fabric. Not only promote, we need to create an ecosystem to grow and growth the buisness model. The documentary is really amazing and is presented beautifully in its original format. It makes good notice of the difficulties faced by weavers and their products. I would like to see more of Odisha's historical tales in the spotlight. Thank you very much for such eye-opening script.
