A trip in the public university

This is the only film made in a whole by a public university in Colombia, for that reason in this times when the University is closed for covid, this film make us to see nos much this institution is necesary to continue thinking and planning our future. It is also a nice pedagogical experiencience in order yo improve students film making skills.

Colombian Quixote does ride

This film is a wonderful way to see how films are born in Colombia; shot by an experienced director and film students as a course project, it suffered several mishaps for its completion, the most outstanding being the death of its protagonist when it was not yet finished filming.

Even though there are flaws in the script and in the staging because of what was described above, the film is entertaining and develops fluently. It also integrates the history of Colombia and one of the important symbols of the country, the National University.

The film can be found on You Tube in the account of the Universidad Nacional.

Could be better in every way

The story of this film could even be a good story, but here it was told in a poor and uninteresting way where the plots could have been better interwoven and better developed. The performances of the protagonists are excellent and are the most redeemable of the film, the others can improve.

Similarly, the Cinematography is simple with a bad camera handling and it makes the narration more difficult with a low quality imitation of the VHS look for past storytelling, cuts made late and even a sample of lack of professionalism, something forgivable for a first film but not for the third film by this director.

A certain Alonso Quijano is a forgettable movie in comparision to the wonderful cinema that is being born in Colombia.
