Boy did this movie suck.

The premise sounds interesting, and the actors are doing their best - acting is quite fine actually. Even the characters are interesting, and rather colorful.

The bad? Plot turns into a boring standoff, which drags on for the whole length of the movie. The characters turn into a mush of cliches, and are predictable. The events and reactions become unrealistic and story gets boring quick.

So it drags on, instead of picking up pace, and the occasional "plot twists" are some cartoonish nonsense moments which really didn't work for me.

My advice, save time, skip this movie.

This should have closer to a 7 than 5 rating but not many have scored it yet. I haven't watched too much Finnish cinema, nor anything by this director, but he keeps things moving along, keeps the gags coming and the acting is fine all around, especially Susanna Pukilla in the lead. She looks a great comedy prospect and I'm surprised she hasn't made other films yet.

It starts out well with a lesbian couple coming out to their respective parents and one of them ending up more outraged than the parents are. This soon develops into a 'crazy situation' film, but the plot works much better than in a whole lot of 'realistic' movies - something similar to this could easily happen. Maybe there's too much emphasis on the promiscuity - I did find that got dull in places - and too little on the serious issues raised, but not a huge problem. It's basically a dark comedy and lots of hilarious moments are provided by, for example, Pukilla's facial expressions and the absurd Walther PPK.

No masterpiece this, but 90 minutes of solid entertainment.

It is made clear at the very early stages and using such methods that it does not leave behind any doubts about what there is to come. But wait, could there be more?

It is baffling how Finnish is mostly used in dialogues, but in order to ensure this is suppose to be a multicultural incident, English and German are used, too, and somehow, without any translation everyone understands each other no matter what. Subtitles are provided to ensure that the audience does so, too.

More surprises are to be presented at a rather steady pace, be it the change in genre from anything to something else - be it drama, action, soap opera, manifesto etc. - or who-knows-who and what murky past one has in store.

Something that is not pinpointed is humour. One has to figure it out. Either you see it or not. Dealing with big human issues, one may ponder whether the answer to the question "Are we alone?" might be revealed. For that, one has to watch it to the end.
