Mr. Earth

Without spoilers, this is a simply down to Earth movie about a real life, real problems, and real people in a bit unreal circumstances. You could call this an Ode to Earth and life on it. It is easy to watch, heartwarming, thought provoking, and does not contain the usual Holywood nonsense. I hope you will, like myself, fall in love with the story, characters, the plain show of life, and beautiful music. I can imagine this movie will become as strong underdog as it gets. I wish more movies like this gets made as this is a very rare breed. I really hope the people which do not get this movie will one day be able to see its magic.

I loved this movie, it has so much heart and soul, and the acting is quite good. I give it a 9 to help offset the mediocre scores it has received as it deserves a much better than a 5.5 rating. No flashy effects but this is made up for by the storyline and engaging characters. Without giving anything away, prepare to be swept up in a otherworldly relationship, a father and daughter growing closer out of a painful past. It is all woven together perfectly and left me feeling more hopeful about finding that ethereal love that is always 'out there' for those who seeking it. Give it a watch, you will not be disappointed.

A very heart felt and thought provoking movie that i'm sure many can relate to. Really enjoyed this movie, great acting and a beautiful score.

This was recommended as i mostly watch science fiction movies. Strictly speaking it certainly is sci-fi, but not your typical blockbuster special effects movie. This movie concentrates more on the story of a man dealing with loss and heartache. Many men certainly will be able to relate to this story and certainly brought tears to my eyes a number of times.

Dont always trust ratings, despite this having a rather modest score, it is certainly worth a lot more and deserves more recognition that it is getting.

I thought the story and script was good, but just a little slow moving and brooding. Also, for a Scifi movie, it was skimpy on special effects. I would have liked to see a little more action and more scenes of the alien planet and their civilization. I understand that they were probably on a shoestring budget.

The acting was decent, and actors and actresses did a good job with their parts.

Unless you're expecting a big budget production, I would recommend this movie. It is a believable portrayal of what could happen if an advanced civilization were to interact with members of humanity. By far the best part of the movie was the dialogue.

I only made it about half an hr in. The acting is pretty bad. Ben and Olivia both sound congested every time they talk. Dropping and picking your kid at a school with an empty parking lot and nobody else around? Camping with 2 adults and 3 kids and all you have is a small tent and a few chairs? I get low budget but come on. Zero effort was put into making this movie real. When he finally gets abducted it's ridiculously bad writing. The dialouge is confusing at best. I just couldn't go on anymore. I wanted to like this and watch it but there's just to much wrong already at this point. I doubt it gets better.
