Behold!

I found Behold looking for horror movies as finding ones I haven't seen requires research. Behold, with its 2.7 rating gave me very low expectations. I'm used to some really bad horror movies, there are so many. I expected a bad, very bad film. All I have to say is that the people who gave it such low rating must've watched an entirely different movie. Or it is someone with a grudge against the director. Behold is much better than the normal horror movie. Good acting, not great, but good. The demon or Lucifer, wasn't clear which. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

While as a horror film it leaves much to be desired, from another perspective it's a highly recommended film.

The moment Peter's character, played by Bryan Scramman, begins to unravel the root of protagonist Rebecca "Llana Barron's" problems.

On the other hand, the "monster," the product of karma and the guilt that consumes the protagonists and those around them, creates an entity that won't stop until it consumes everyone in that house...

As someone else mentioned, there are SO many bad horror movies and this is NOT one of them! I think religious-themed movies are extra creepy, and this one definitely had some unexpected surprises. The beginning slowly introduces you to the characters and situation, and then it really picks up in the second half. Definitely worth a watch!

This isn't great at all. Parts of it make no sense and the acting is average and that's being generous. Is it a horror? In a sense it is but most of the movie is religous ranting which soon grates on the nerves. There are some effects which aren't particularly scary and the ending is a complete cop out as you virtually see nothing. I think they must have gone over budget on the effects by then.

Like I said, most of this makes no sense. Four is a generous score but I did like the music at the end and the house was nice to look at.

Behold! Plays out as a Lifetime christian themed horror film. The difference is the acting is actually quite good and the story is interesting enough to keep you intrigued for the bonkers 3rd act! I always appreciate people who try to do more with less and they achieved that. It's a bit of a slow burn but it's worth it to stick with it.
