Very funny (even if you are not a vegan)

This movie, seemingly adapted from a web series, is VERY funny. It simultaneously skewers veganism while remaining earnest and respectful of the vegan lifestyle. Immi the Vegan (don't call her "immi"!) is trying to navigate the dating world as a vegan, while working up the courage to sing her songs in public. The jokes are very funny, the acting ensemble is great, there is a healthy dose of pop culture references (Back to the Future and Ferris Bueller, for example) and the writing and directing are top notch. Well worth an hour of your time.

The music has the spotlight

The movie succeeds in being unpretentiously funny, if one has a sense of humor, but it is the original music to win the prize for best character! Also the various nods to pop culture blockbuster cinema were great. I recommend!

Many laughs with a lonely vegan!

Immi the Vegan is delicious, whether you're a vegan or not. (I'm definitely not.) She's a great character you just have to love. The story manages a great balance of finding humor in Immi and her life, but also showing great affection for her... as well as for her meat-loving suitor. Both characters won me over, as did this very funny film. This was the light, fun movie I needed right now!

Excellent quirky comedy with a kiwi flavour

Funny, weird, charming. This comedy isn't just for vegans, anyone who's ever felt like they don't quite fit in in the dating scene will appreciate watching Immi navigate the highs and lows of finding love in the big city. This reminds me of classic Brit comedies like Father Ted, or Blackbooks crossed with kiwi shows like Flight of the Conchords. Will definitely watch again.

100% vegan, but I have no beef with it ;)

Fun, unpretentious comedy that will make you look at vegans entirely differently! Clearly based on personal experience, this film should make all meat lovers at least once see the world through the eyes of a vegan. As if looking for love weren't difficult enough already, imagine having to find someone without "meat breath"...! Thorougly enjoyable.
