I've made a harsh review on the game, partly motivated by my rage cause I was stuck in multiple bugs which hindered my progression in the game. As a Stalker fan, I've decided to, yes, create another save from scratch and take another route to avoid the (still) bugged quest. This game is good, and solid as a stalker title, only being stained by the hasty release, which logically should have taken more time, so we would have a better product.
As the game is yet, I can't recommend it for full-price purchase. Like I said, the game features badly, poorly optimization on pc, but it shines there with all the mods which fix what devs should have by nature.
The combat is still too weird, and unbalanced. Armor breaks easily but here's a tip, use 0 durability armors after upgrading them, you'll not miss anything plus save a lot of money. Only take care of your weapons. Also, Skif's handgun is a monster. Seriously, what a beast, it makes no sense such pm handgun to be that good. Imbalancement, right? Mutants still take a lot of hits to kill, particularly bloodsuckers, controllers and chimeras. Careful and always be making saves, you will encounter bugs which will jeopardize all your main progress, or use mods to fix those issues. Lots of other bugs still exist, but I will not address them here. It should be easy to encounter info on them on the internet. Patches are leaving something to be desired.
I hope I didn't forget anything this time. Hopefully not.
