Brown Paper Bag

Brown Paper Bag instantly mesmerized me and pulled me into the character and I wondered, what is this person all about! Based on the opening scene, I made assumptions that the film re-defined as the story unfolded. It felt like being on a roller coaster with wonderful visuals and congruent music heightening the experience. From beginning to end I found myself totally immersed in the film and the unexpected ending was the icing on the cake!

I had the opportunity to watch this short during the Valley FF and I was impressed by its quality and effectiveness as story, it has heart and you will remember it. The director put all the effort in how to tell the story visually and didn't fuss about the insignificance aspect of what "fancy" camera should be used which most of the filmmakers get trapped sometimes. This is sweet, short and clever! I had the pleasure of attending the screening of Director Klaudia Kovacs' short film "Brown Paper Bag," at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France.

Director Kovacs' "Brown Paper Bag" short film mesmerised the audience with its magnificent storytelling and cinematography. Furthermore, it provided a much welcome and delightfully surprising story, filled with elegance, compassion, unexpected twists and turns, wit and humanity.

Brown Paper Bag is a must see for the entire family!

Cannes Film Festival presented Director Kovacs with a wonderful award, and there were many accolades from industry professionals.

I just watched the Brown Paper Bag and am delighted by the element of joyful surprise and appreciation for the simple pleasures of life. It teaches us to never judge the depth of a person based on superficial observations. It reminds us to look below the surface and value each person's wonderful and unique life. It creates curiosity about how the idea for the movie came to be - leaving us with wanting more!

This is an endearing short film with a wink and a nod to happy little miracles. The writer/director engages us quickly by introducing a character any city dweller has seen before then charms us by displaying her own take on what's really underneath. I dare anyone to not smile and audibly "awe" at the film's conclusion. Proof that small productions can have big hearts.
