Uma & Haggen: Mitos

A fairly independent film with some issues, but for some reason I personally love it. I found it quite fun and it was pretty; something that I am quite satisfied with.

I think something I found pretty cool about this was the fact that the director and his animation team went to the trouble of adding Mesoamerican themes like the Mayan and Aztec. While I haven't seen much of that kind of theme, I'm glad to see it in an animated fantasy film.

Its animation, as I said, is quite independent and in some cases it can improve, but in the final stretch all the animation is well done. Personally I loved the film and if I could I would watch it again.

Very entretaining movie, brimming with fantasy elements and clever references to ancient civilizations. It catched not only my attention but also that of my kids. It is a perfect choice for having a great time with their loves ones in a family movie day. Great animation together with an imaginative storytelling, made this movie another magical option to have an adventure that leave both kids and adults enchanted from start to finish. My family and I, enjoyed in a movie theatre with good sound and laser projection on a big screen, so, that is my recommendation: live the full experience in a movie theatre.

I liked it. The ending left me with a little knot that I hope will be undone in the second part, because it hurt.

The rhythm, at least for me, was quite good. The animation quality, which at times was weak, managed to maintain a certain decent level.

An Mexican animated film that went through multiple delays across two decades and director lying about his development until it finally premiered at a time when there is many competition in theaters and Mexican films being released in streaming services. It has the feels of an edgy late 2000s animated film and the plot it's just a ripoff of the director's previous film Brijes and the film Nikté with anime inspired battles and stuff that feels like something you would see in Pokemon or Digimon. The animation is not that different from films done at the same time as this (which is weird for a film that was in,development during a long period of time) and it looks dated and unnatural.
