The Last Man

The premise of this space sci-fi short is intriguing: an astronaut wakes up on the Moon and realizes he has only minutes to reach the launch site before the shuttle departs. Naturally, unexpected challenges and discoveries follow. I really like the concept, and the visuals are quite good.

However, I do have a few concerns. First-why on Earth would the shuttle leave without their commander? I just can't wrap my head around that. Second, while the Moon environment is visually convincing and definitely passable, the protagonist's movement doesn't reflect how one would actually move on the Moon. There are ways to make lunar movement more believable-such as slowing down the frame rate or replacing slow, awkward walking (even if the character might be injured) with the kind of bounding or hopping motion astronauts actually use in low gravity.

I understand the film is more focused on the emotional and psychological weight of being left behind in space than on strict realism-but still, those details can make a big difference.
