Leto 1941 goda

I loved the movie, and the action. Unfortunately, the only version I found to watch, was spoken in Russian, with no English subtitles. I am good with history, particularly WWII history, on the Eastern Front, so I had a good idea what was going on. And the action was good. But, it would've been even better if I had known all that they were speaking, considering that I know only a very few words of the Russian language. But it still was a very good film, that kept me on the edge of my seat. And the music was excellent, and I loved the old WWII weapons, that they were using, too! So I give it an 8 out of a 10. Great job, moviemaker!

This film tells the true story of a Kazakh war hero.

It is set in the background of World War II, so it feels interesting and familiar, yet unfamiliar. This is a recommended movie for anyone interested in world history, including World War II.

It shows the brutal reality of World War II without filtering, and shows the desperate journey of Kazakhstan veterans besieged by German forces until they return home.

You can feel tension and chewiness through the uneasy and emergency situations of war.

Even today, wars are still taking place and many people are being sacrificed. For the lives of the soldiers who are still trembling uneasy in the middle of the war, I hope to realize the horrors of war and end it as soon as possible.

A real war movie!!!

The story of soldiers who lost their allies and survived the war.

In the middle of the war, he butter up the rough journey to return to his country.

They have to watch the deaths of innocent citizens who helped them, and they do not give up and use the situation to survive even when they are captured.

It calmly depicts the misery and despondency of such soldiers.

The real winner is the one who doesn't give up until the end of the war and endure the desperate moment.

The movie is about a soldier who actually survived World War II.

If you want to see a true soldier, watch this movie. You will never be disappointed.

In 1941, the core of the partisan movement in the USSR were groups of Red Army soldiers that had escaped encirclement by the German Army on its way to Moscow. Later, civilians joined. Most detachments were commanded by Red Army officers. With time, the partisans became a formidable force that severely disrupted German communication lines and ambushed German troops. The Wehrmacht (as well as the SS) executed all partisans they took prisoner with the pretext that they were not regular soldiers, thus not entitled to prisoner of war status. Often, villagers were forced to view the executions. Thousands of villagers were summarily executed for (real or suspected) collaboration with the partisans.

This film (a coproduction of Kazakhstan and Belarus) follows the detachment commanded by Kazakh officer Adi Sharipov, born in 1912 and drafted in the Red Army in 1940. The time frame is from the summer of 1941 to the summer of 1943 on the eve of the Battle of Kursk, in which the partisans played an essential role destroying bridges, roads and rail lines in the rear of the German lines. Partisans were instrumental in the Soviet victory, the turning point of WWII and the beginning of the end for Nazi Germany.

Script by director Bekbolat Shekerov is partly based on postwar writings of Sharipov. Shekerov has put it on screen fluidly, never losing the viewer's interest. Acting has some rough edges and some battle scenes are less than perfect, but reconstruction of time and place is flawless and there are some magical moments such as Sharipov being guided through a swamp and some moving scenes of his childhood in Kazakhstan. The film offers a valuable history lesson without preaching of flag waving. A war film that attains its objective brilliantly.

A historic movie should at least have basic facts correct. In the first minutes this is not the case with this movie.

1. The war is shown to have started on 22 May 1941! (At least in subtitled / English version) 2. General Reichenau was in charge of 6th Army that was part of Group Army South in the Ukraine. It begs a question how he appears in Belorus in direction of Moscow

Otherwise our squad leader is "Rambo" alike fighting against lone German soldiers, dogs etc. Not very believable given where the movie industry is currently. Seems like a very low budget movie as a result.

Good luck watching, but would not recommend it.
