There certainly was a need for better films to be launched on OTT especially from PRK Films, considering the haul of sub par films that they have backed (except Kavaludari). Man of The Match in a way ends that run by giving the audience an experimental film in its true sense and the experiment worked for me. However, there were some inconsistencies in the writing especially towards the pre-climax scene. Barring that, technically, the film is well thought of and is executed neatly. You cannot and shouldn't compare Man of The Match with director's earlier works since D Satya Prakash is someone who keeps experimenting with his films and there's no proper yardstick to compare such directors with their own films, let alone comparing it with other films.
