I don't watch much tv, nor have I been impressed with horror flicks since the 90's faces of de@th. If you're looking for a recommendation of something comedic, twisty turny, kinda gory but not actual horror, genuine absolute suspense... I recommend Netflix show Entitled. Every episode had my mind reeling, wondering what could be getting to happen next. There was constant suspense and thrill to every episode and I could not wait to consume more of it. It has for every bizarre reason captivated me as well as scratched my horror itch. What a plot twist too! I am very sad to be done with this show.

This show is a great blend of mystery, a little horror, and complete and utter mastery of laugh-out-loud dark comedy. It's unlike anything else I'm aware of, and from a few of the reviews here, some people obviously don't get it (or get black comedy) but it has provided me with some of the best and funniest moments I've seen in awhile.
Bret Gelman is impeccable, and reminds me a bit of Paul Giamatti in the move "Sideways". The series builds well, and peels the onion layer by layer. Most episodes are quite short, which is great because I have to catch my breath and process what I just saw! If you like dark comedy, don't miss this one.

When I first started watching this show, I was slightly apprehensive that it was just going to be another television show that was going to be repetitive and use the same plot as everyone else. It ended up having some amazing twists and turns that I did not see coming and I normally am one that can see those way in advance! With that being said, I think that this is a series anyone that loves a dash of comedy with an addition of horror to it should watch because it is absolutely fantastic. I would suggest it 1000 times over if I could. Because of the ratings that I saw which I deemed unfair due to the fact that it is underrated for how well written it is and how incredible the cast, and the storyline go the only thing I am upset about is the fact that it doesn't have a follow up season!
I came to this as it felt like there was a lot that should work on paper, some interesting cast and an intriguing premise. Certainly, there's plenty of intrigue in the first episode, but sadly it's all downhill from there. And for a comedy, there are nearly zero laughs to be found.
Gelman's performance is enormous, the direction is so colorful that it's sickly. Perhaps both of those are attempts to bring some comedy to the show, but they are sorely misguided. The tone veers all over the place, operating in such aimless extremes that it will leave you feeling totally lost, and with little of it making any sense at all.
What it makes for is a show that is trying so hard to tell you how good and funny it is, without actually being either. A real disappointment.

Entitled is one of those shows where the elements are all interesting but it just doesn't coalesce. Something like a box of mystery trinkets that tell an almost story.
It has very good actors, creepy art directions, plays a balance between scary and humorous like a nightmare LSD trip that's part real, part fantasy.
I think it does go on too long though. I skipped through the scenes because there was something fascinating (I would watch all these actors in other projects again). But also a lack of momentum and focus. I hoped it would resolve to something, and it does and it doesn't.
Entitled is a curious art piece that continuously pulls more out of its hat, but also left me wondering what did I just watch.
