फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
This is a movie that requires courage to go through with. Movie doesn't claimed to be based on real events but I believe somehow it is based on the crimes happened in Unnao and Hathras.
The pace of the movie is very static and gives it a slow burn theme where you would require patience to watch this movie. The setting is very natural, dark and raw that gives this movie a pureness.
Eye opening movie that shows the inhuman behaviour of people in power. Movie successfully delivered the pain and anguish directly to us that the victim could have experienced.
The performance of all the characters is superb. They undoubtedly convince us to believe that it's a pure drama to watch.
People should praise this movie!

Hatts off to the director. A phenomenal Movie executed wonderfully. It really leaves you wondering is there any hope in today's world. It shows dark reality of how politicians or any powerful person can get any with anything. It shows the will power of a rape victim against all odds. A must must watch movie. Brought tears into my eyes. This movie should be applauded and appreciated. Its real art. Actors also did such a good job at portraying the strong character. I didn't expect much from this movie but It left me completely speechless. Just wow. It has potential to win many many awards even in international platform.
We must be vocal on it and its an oscar winning movie i guarantee if it doesn't get an Oscar shame on world.i want movies to be like this for sure only. It reminds me all what i heard in news those days. I want to say the writer and director are best and the acting was too not fake . This may be just a film for others but its a story that happens everyday with everyone in india .whether you are well off or poor the system fails us every now and then. It depicts the current scenaio of india in which every human suffers but can't do anything. Salute to the makers i would say you must watch it and it should be made free and compulsory for every young generation to watch it. Whether it be a nursery child or a dying one. Every one should be made to look at it for once atleast . Its truth which is unfolding in with enlightenment for sure for the gimmicks.
I'm a simple guy - when Vineet appears, I head to the cinema. However, in this instance, Pooja Pandey truly stole the spotlight. Her portrayal of the character is outstanding, whether it's the eerie shots, the vacant expressions, or the unwavering determination of a girl who's lost but not defeated.
The movie gains momentum in its latter half as the carefree journey transforms into a tale of trauma. The only drawback lies in some extended scenes without dialogue that could've been trimmed.
My heart goes out to determined directors, casts, and crews who, despite knowing their film might not receive the recognition it deserves, remain passionate and dedicated to creating such films for a greater cause.

Siya is a drama film directed by manish mundra.
Pooja pandey and vineet kumar singh have acted with great application. Vineet is anyway a wonderful actor, but pooja in a difficult role did her part nicely. Other actors were good. They did not have much material to act.
The first shot of the film is a metaphorical one. A long sequence at night, where a sister is narrating a story to his little brother about courage and wits, is a foreshadow of the things about to happen. The first half's writing too is very good. Its engaging and takes one step at a time, making a commentary on caste, police negligence. From the second half, the film starts to deviate. It looked as if the film was in a dilemma whether to show the futility of justice or the procedural to the way of justice. As a result, neither of the things hit us anywhere. Things happen without any closing scene, too many loose ends.
The music is decent. The two songs in the second half are lyrically very touching. One of them is a doha. The background score has been used minimal, mainly the drama of the scene is kept at the forefront. The dialogues are good. At one point, siya herself states "aisi nyay ka kya fayda jise dekhne koi zinda hi na ho." That was a major twist in the film. The film took the route of an open end, which i don't complain about. But the loose ends could have been dealt better.
The sequences of siya's misery is horrific to watch, and its tough to sit through. The film is very raw and gritty for anyone. That's where its negatives feel lighter to its positives. I rate it 8.5 out of 10.
