The 2020 movie "Ouija Shark" was an abysmal affair, let's not dance around the bush here, so why sit down and watch the 2022 sequel "Ouija Shark 2"? Because I had the opportunity to do so. And it is a shark movie, of sorts, after all.
Sure, I had absolutely no expectations to "Ouija Shark 2", aside from being in for another catastrophic movie, with a near non-existing chance of it actually being so bad it would be fun to watch. And thus, I sat down to watch the 2022 movie "Ouija Shark 2" from writer and director John Migliore.
And the storyline in "Ouija Shark 2", as written by John Migliore, was bad, so very, very bad. It made no sense, really. The lack of an interesting storyline in this movie just sucked away all enjoyment that the movie might have had to it. But hey, if you enjoyed the 2020 movie "Ouija Shark", then you might also enjoy "Ouija Shark 2".
Needless to say that there was no famous actors or actresses on the cast list in this movie. And having a cast ensemble of all unfamiliar faces is usually something I enjoy when I sit down to watch a movie. I can't claim that I was impressed with the wooden, rigid and dubious acting performances that took place on the screen here in "Ouija Shark 2".
I am sure that there is an audience out there for a questionable, cheesy movie such as "Ouija Shark 2". I just happened to not be a part of that particular audience, and thus I found no enjoyment in this sequel.
The movie's cover/poster looks good. But of course, you know immediately that the movie is going to be nothing remotely like the cover/poster. And true enough, the movie's cover/poster oversells the movie a thousand times over. No surprise there. And the cover/poster was actually the best thing about the entire ordeal known as "Ouija Shark 2".
It should come as no surprise that my rating of writer and director John Migliore's 2022 movie "Ouija Shark 2" lands on a one out of ten stars.
