फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
Both of the seasons of this show are well written at times with moments that are genuinely funny that will make you laugh out loud especially if you know my stereotypes of private school kids in the uk being unbearable and out of touch. The will they won't they relationships every character has is interesting at first a they are hopefully building for a payoff in the third season but Christ they are all written with the emotional subtlety of a sledgehammer with characters constantly putting their foot in the mouth as they fail to learn from their mistakes over and over which begins to grain after a while in season 2 but overall a good binge worth show especially if your from the uk.
A Captivating Series That Will Leave You Yearning for More
I devoured all six episodes of this phenomenal series in record time, and I'm still reeling from the experience. With its expertly woven narrative, complex characters, and relentless pacing, this show has secured a spot on my list of all-time favorites.
From the opening scene, I was hooked. The series masterfully crafts a world that's both familiar and yet, utterly unique. The storytelling is intelligent, layered, and expertly paced, making it impossible to predict what's lurking around the corner.
*Complex Characters and Moral Ambiguity* One of the standout features of this series is its cast of complex, multidimensional characters. Each individual is meticulously crafted, with their own distinct voice, backstory, and motivations. The characters exist in a gray area, where right and wrong are subjective, making it challenging to distinguish between heroes and villains.
This moral ambiguity adds depth to the narrative, encouraging viewers to question their own values and allegiances. As the story unfolds, characters evolve, revealing hidden facets and surprising alliances. The character development is nothing short of remarkable, making it effortless to become invested in their journeys.
*Atmosphere and World-Building* The series boasts an immersive atmosphere, transporting viewers to a richly detailed world that's both captivating and unsettling. The production design, cinematography, and soundscapes all contribute to an immersive experience, drawing you deeper into the narrative.
*Themes and Social Commentary* Beneath its surface-level entertainment, the series tackles thought-provoking themes and social commentary. It confronts issues like power dynamics, corruption, and personal identity, sparking reflection and introspection.
*Conclusion* In conclusion, this series is an absolute must-watch. With its addictive storytelling, complex characters, and immersive world-building, it's an experience you won't soon forget. If you're looking for a show that will captivate, provoke, and inspire, look no further.
The wait for Season 2 is already excruciating, but I'm confident it will be worth it. Until then, I'll be re-watching the first season, uncovering hidden nuances and appreciating the craftsmanship that went into creating this masterpiece.
Do yourself a favor and dive into this incredible series. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Pretty good series - I'm only 3 episodes in but it sucked me in from the very first episode. It's really absorbing and does a good job of mixing serious social and on point racial commentary with laugh out loud comedy. The characters show a lot of heat and are likable, well developed and unpredictable.
It's hard to guess what direction people are going to go in because the characters are so layered with no one appearing one dimensional. It's been a long time since I've seen something so good like this on British TV and it's nice to have something other than a political or police drama to watch and get sucked into.
It's also nice to know that slang hasn't changed too much and the social media girls are particularly on point.

This could have been an interesting show. There are many good actors, and it had potential to develop into something fun. But I don't think the writers knew what they were doing with it.
The story just rambles from one character to another. There are five interesting characters, and they each have their own issues, but none of them get developed very deeply. We just keep jumping around to these unconnected storylines that are fairly unbelievable.
We are supposed to think these characters know each other and are good friends, but we don't have any background to explain that, and they don't really seem to have anything in common other than that they attended the same community center classes.
And then the story seems to follow some of the characters from the school for a while, but then it jumps back to the main characters. Nobody really gets the full story development. Nothing significant really happens.
Waste of talent and time.

I loveed, the fact that they did not take long to release the 2nd season or outright cancel the show like other TV shows! I love how they include LGBTQ characters, so seamlessly. I resonate with Omar so well. I love how the show, shows us the point of view of different characters that come from the same background: "a bad neighbourhood". And shows us how different they all can still be and how differently they react to the same situations. A Tv show like this: centered in black characters and is realistic, i have rarely seen. Hope on seeing more projects like these in the future! Loving season 2 so far cannot wait to see more.
