Reno 911!: It's a Wonderful Heist

This movie was hilarious!!! I was so happy to see some of Reno's finest back in action and better than ever... Between the chimp sack, crotch doves, Terry's mistletoe dick, T. T's floppy boobs and Jackie stuck in the book donation box with a smelly punani I couldn't stop laughing!!! My only complaint is that deputy Garcia really didn't have a speaking role and once again Junior wasn't even in the movie. I purchased the movie on Amazon for $10 and thought it was well worth it. I look forward to watching their next film. One of my favorite Reno 911 shows was the Halloween episode. I would love to see a Reno 911 Halloween movie in 2023!!!

Having been a huge fan of the show in its original run, I was really looking forward to this. I made it about 50 minutes in without so much as cracking a smile before I called it quits. Robert Ben Garant's absence from the screen was disappointing enough, but his absence from the writing credits makes me think he was the biggest talent behind the scripts, too.

The hilarious interpersonal dynamics between the deputies and lieutenant Dangle that made the original show so endearing are entirely absent here (some of which may be at least partially a consequence of the expanded cast), and instead we're treated to bit after zany bit with Dangle and the gang just there to provide bland commentary on the already bland gags.

Fan of the series and happy to see any Reno 911 content, however, as the time passes and the cast starts to slowly change up, I'm growing weary that there's starting to be little left to enjoy. Wanted to turn it off a few times but I'm dedicated to Reno but glad it's only 78 minutes long. Just a notch above waste of time. The smiles were few and far between. The writing seemed kind of dull. As the acting has been watered down as well. Definitely not up to Miami or Q potential. One thing I noticed that definitely made me loose interest is there's no deputy Travis Junior and very little of Garcia. Unfortunately it seems like it's starting to crumble before our very eyes. You can skip this one if you'd like and still live a fulfilling life.

A consistently funny, truly Altman-esque rollercoaster of excellent sight gags, brilliant performances, grand jokes and hilarious throwaway lines. Just when you think they've gone too far, they go above and beyond.

Much of the action is set in what appears to be a decaying mall, where the deputies are trying to protect a huge nugget of some kind. It's enough of a hook to support the thin plot.

By the time you take the magical sleigh ride, you'll be ready for anything!

If you don't laugh out loud, you should move to a state with legal cannabis (why not Reno?)... and keep trying!

I had low expectations based on a lot of negative reviews I saw but honestly this is just good silly Reno 911 fun. There's lots of funny moments (doves, anytime Dangle does cocaine, the Kenny museum, the chimpsack, the school bus bloodbath, "Happy Christmas" etc) and I enjoyed it enough to think I needed to leave a review which I don't often do for films! Hope we get lots more Reno 911 in the future.

Wow my review is too short, I need to make sure it has enough characters for it to be posted but not sure what else to say. Hopefully Ben is back for the next set of Reno as he's missed in this film.
