Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero

Haven't read the manga/LN's for "Aesthetice" so can't comment on the core material however the anime seems to want to have a story but it ends up a by episode setup for its Ecchi side.

To underpin this the "Antihero" Protagonist main super power is "energy manipulation" (chi) which he uses for semi-erotic purposes while "helping" the women around him (harem style).

Credit given where it's due, who the hero is defending is unexpected, but it doesn't make up for the overall mediocre anime.

Pros:

• Hero is protecting an usual target.
• Amusingly overpowered/confident hero.
• Consistent animation.
• Solid English dubbing.

Cons:

• Cliche / Trope heavy.
• Heavy "Fan Service".
• High cheese factor.
• Older animation style, doesn't hold up as well.
• No second season.
• Predictable to a fault.
• Weak dialog.

Wikipedia lists the genres as action, fantasy, harem but it really should have Ecchi added to the list.

I watched this animation by accident and it got me hooked by the end of first episode.it is very different to other Japanese animation. For a change the main guy is not spineless clueless cry baby. He is a real hero, confident and mischievous specially around wannabe guy girls. Loved it. I was getting so sick of watching show after show with main guys being clueless and wimpy. Hope they make more of these. Very funny. Very entertaining. In response to a reviewer who said they should put a weakness in the main guy. Go away and watch any other Japanese animation and you get your spineless guy. Honestly, I don't know why they make the men characters like that. Entertainment world is becoming upside down. They want to turn guys to girls and girls to guys. No wonder less and less people are going to movies! Get a clue it just does not make sense.

this is definitely one of the better animes i've seen recently. Action, adventure, excitement (a jedi craves not these things, but the rest of us might!)...and boobs are an added bonus haha...

Akatsuki is a hero that brings a demon lord's daughter, Myuu, back to his home world from a parallel world after slaying her father, but finds life full of challenges at his new school of magic, since he's super tough and everyone wants to fight him all the time...plus people from the parallel world are constantly after Myuu, since they think a demon lord's daughter can't live a normal life and will be somehow seeking revenge for her father's murder...

Akatsuki is just about the coolest and toughest leading anime character i've ever seen, and i've seen heaps...and he's not afraid of women like most of the wimpy guys, but prefers to play with their boobs and/or steal their underwear...but he also has a soft side and isn't a complete pervert...he pretty much rocks and is the best thing about this show...but everything about this show rocks, from the characters, to the action, to the animation, its all good...hopefully there will be a second season...check it out for sure!

Fun interesting and fan service and some hardcore jokes not recommend for children but for adults refreshing to see hero that is not just op but nasty to the core. sadly no second season. from most regular op hero harem anime difference is simple hero. worth to see.

This, like so many before it, has the awful status of "leaves you hanging right at the best part!" These anime writers have the absolute WORST ADHD! They can't stick it out with one title at a time. They write, and then don't even fight for the life of their anime series when these production companies try and cancel them.

There's something wrong with the fact that at least 75% of released top rated animes end right as the storyline is getting turned up. They work so hard on character development and backstory and get so many little struggles going but then 6-13 episodes in, they cut it off leaving you with a big case of blue ummm -zzz lol. Yea go with that, blues. Lol Please finish what you started!
