थंगालान

A total fictional story that doesn't hold much relevance for current era. Story is basically a period drama wherein a man named Thangalan belonging to a labour class along with his community goes as a guiding help for Britishers in gold mining n then there happens super natural incidences n clashes between that community n British. Movie started very well but soon lost complete track. Lots of same repetitive story scenes plus movie is very slow paced. Whatsoever, movie made no much sense to me. Originally a Tamil movie dubbed in all South Indian languages. Available in Netflix, my ratings 5/10!

Movie was so good, especially the climax ,, goosebumps at the end,,Vikram sir screen presence was so good,, first time to write a review because it's an wonderfull film, watched it in Telugu language,,Vikram sir should continue doing like this films.movie starts very silently but you should wait for the twists and better presence very very good,,, make time and watch this movie patiently you will feel good,,,,after watching complete movie then write review like me.if u don't like then I think I don't know movie knowledge,,,, even children can understand, no 18+ scenes and nothing a family watchable film which gives pure goosebumps.

Hats off to the team for everything they can do at their best...the visual and music was cerebral especially the language they used across various time periods was extravagant yet they could've done more research on the 18th century how the community has lived coz everyone was a (orukudimakka) they lived as one he uses some dialogue to show everyone lived together yet it's not enough.you will know what I mean when you understand we call our ancestors (paran parai )aai is the way of living where women is also a leader of the pack and still I have doubts in naming it's either (aadhan aadhani) ✌🏼

The first half of the movie was thrilled, felt like mad Max movies.. brain feel like heavy.. story, acting, BG music everything coincide...

But in the second half started slowly and then story went like rollercoaster. Unable to understand fully ,it means second time should watch to understand??

Overall story was PRE KFG.. But lost between Real and Ghost.

Good comeback for chiyan Vikram.

Parvathi,Menon, pasupathi acting was too good. GV Prakash music big plus for this movie. Arathi character theeanted..

Some scenes they would have taken well in the second half. The importance of gold for British .

Thangalaan the movie shows the real people of KGF who got faced big sturggle from British officers & so called upper birth peoples. Fantastic making of Chiyaan Vikram who comes as Thangalaan in the movie is the main reason for me to wonder. He doesn't act. He just have lived as Thangalaan in the whole film. Each and every frame doesn't felt like it is Vikram were I didn't seen Vikram anywhere in the movie and I just saw Thangalaan throughout the movie. Malavika Mohanan had a surprising role were her presence was taken the movie into next level. She done her job great. Parvathy was fantastic and she done her job well. The unknown hero of the movie GVP was taken an avatar as a Music beast. Background score have done a important role in the film were it gives goosebumps in important scenes. Many surprises are there in the film were we couldn't expect those. Technically well mad film and with a superb making, action sequences was looking awesome. VFX & CG was good in various scenes but in some scenes, VFX was not that much good. First half was excellent, ended with a good interval were second half, you may feel some slowness but climax was extraordinary. Overall, a good film with great making and superb performances would be a good watch for an action & fantasy movie lovers.
