Royal Façade

I anticipated the opening of Royal Facade and was looking forward to it. I read the plot line and knew I'd love it. But was unable to attend the premier. And now I've seen it and it was worth the wait. The character development was fun, loved the acting of the lead roles, the scenery was beautiful, the banter and chemistry between the cast members was enjoyable, and I loved the creativity. Clearly you had a great time making the film. Thank you for the clean humor. I loved laughing at and with the cast. Can't wait to watch it again. And please make more films. I'd love to watch and support more of your movies.

I went to see this movie with my extended family, expectations were fairly low. I'm not a big rom-com person, nor am I an Indy film person. I like standard mainstream stuff. But the wife said let's go, so I went.

I laughed a surprising amount! Some clever writing and upstart talent in the production squeezed a lot of juice out of the clearly modest budget. The plot is not deep or technical, but had enough fun in the characters and the situational comedy that things I would have nitpicked in a big budget production were happily overlooked.

I came away impressed; if more Hollywood types had the gumption of this type of film team, we'd have a much better entertainment landscape. Worth the watch.

A sweet romantic comedy that showcases the skill of its cinematographer/DP, in fact it's rare to find a film in this low budget rom com field that looks as good as this film does. The investment is clear on screen. The film is worth noting as well for casting an extremely diverse group of actors, an atypical choice in many similar Hallmark-style romantic comedies. Lead Isaac Akers was another key strength of this film. Charming, committed and with that spark in his performance and personality that makes a star. I see great things in his future. The film serves as a modern day take on the traditional prince and the pauper story, in this case with a celebrity and a small town chef, and the classic mistaken identities.

This is such a fun and silly romcom. I couldn't help but smile the whole time I was watching it. You can tell that everyone on screen (and off screen) were loving what they were doing while making this film.

The chemistry between all of the characters is very apparent; from the romance between the Princess Avali and Anderson to the undying friendship of Anderson and Todd to the family dynamic of the King and Queen and their daughter. All and all a stellar ensemble cast.

The direction (and acting) by writer director Paul Cartwright is clear and takes the movie in a wonderful and beautiful direction.

5 stars, 2 thumbs up, would recommend.

Every once in a while you get to watch something that truly entertains the whole way through.

This film starts with a great script, then the memorable performances of the actors, create a must see movie.

Paul Cartwright is a talented writer/director to keep an eye on.

I love what he did with this story. It's a wonderfully crafted. Hilarious entertaining family film.

Isaac Akers actor was a delight. He stole every scene he was in.

Weixin Le is the perfect princess. I loved her performance.

Paul Cartwright lent his acting talents to the story with a quirkiness that was so fun to watch.

And BJ Whimpey played his part to perfection.

All the supporting cast stepped up to deliver rock solid performances, which took this charming comedy to a higher level.

Royal Facade is a must watch movie for all ages and especially for those who are romantic at heart.

You'll fall in love with all the characters and laugh out loud at the crazy antics they get up to.

Overall this is a solid film with memorable characters, a fun plot, a stellar story and a perfect ending.

This is a film you can watch over and over and enjoy every time.
