Volle Bors (Bare)

Volle Bors is an extremely personal story for Gabriella Blumberg, the film's Director and Writer, who went on a very similar journey to that depicted in the story. Gabriella has the BRCA1 genetic mutation which increases one's risk of breast cancer significantly. Her grandmother was diagnosed at the young age of 26 and Gabriella's mother also had breast cancer. Therefore, Gabriella chose to undergo a risk-reducing double mastectomy. When undergoing the surgery, Gabriella found that the topic was still taboo despite its importance. Therefore she decided to use storytelling as a tool to break this stigma and open up conversations.
