It's definitely an entertaining season.
However, it seems to lack some of the unique charm found in the manga, particularly Ryoichi Ikegami's distinctive visual style. The character Haru, in particular, proves difficult to translate into reality. Even so, from what I know from the source material (up to the 5th episode), it's a solid adaptation! But unfortunately, many of the plot developments, though sometimes feeling rushed here and overall outlandish (which is perfectly fine), don't deliver the satisfying twists and turns you'd expect from more popular series (like Liar Game or Death Note). I personally felt a lack of tension and limited reasons for deep investment in what was being shown. That said, the rest of the main cast delivers excellent performances! The production is good, and the camerawork decent.
I would much rather wait until I can finish this story in manga form. But it is a perfectly good show.
