The movie is about Kashmir pandits and their strugglers but the director included horror and suspense, it was so good to watch at starting of the movie we will think its just a horror movie but its a true story where it still happening in our India at Jammu and Kashmir, I really felt surprise of the police and army forces where there are facing many struggles to protect us . Great Thanks to Aditya Suhas Garu (director) and the team for bringning us a great film.

A rare and gripping blend of mystery and psychological thriller, Baramulla unravels the haunting scars of a land where memory blurs into myth. The director fearlessly explores a dark, sensitive subject with chilling precision, crafting an experience that is as unsettling as it is profound.
The screenplay is taut and immersive, drawing viewers into a world of eerie silences, spectral visions, and emotional unrest. Manav Kaul delivers a powerhouse performance - quiet yet commanding - embodying a man consumed by guilt, grief, and unseen forces. Bhasha Sumbli adds remarkable depth, her presence radiating both tenderness and quiet strength amid the chaos.
With haunting visuals, evocative sound design, and a rare blend of realism and the supernatural, Baramulla stands as one of Netflix's most striking thrillers - a dark, atmospheric journey that lingers long after the final frame fades!

Wow wow wow I don't usually write a review but it was not what I expected in 2025 that too from Bollywood , good horror thriller movie to keep viewers engaged while delivering such an important message to viewers, Talking about how actors acted I would say 9-10 even kids did a very good job not main kids but every kid who was involved in the story , the ambience the scenes , all were top notch pacing of the movie is moderate but it will keep you hooked up which Bollywood was failing to keep and emotion twist was good too , overall if someone wants good horror thriller family movie with a deep message go for it.
May the justice prevail!!!!!!

Aditya Dhar delivers a cinematic tour de force with Baramulla - a film that delicately peels through the layered fabric of Kashmir's past and present with rare sensitivity and haunting brilliance. His direction is deeply assured; every frame breathes with intent, every silence reverberates like an unspoken lament.
The storytelling flows like poetry - immersive, unsettling, and profoundly human. Dhar fearlessly walks the tightrope between fact and feeling, weaving the grim echoes of the 1990s into a narrative that throbs with emotional truth. The film's most piercing power lies in its depiction of innocence lost - the recruitment of children into a vortex of violence - linking personal tragedies to the larger horrors of a fractured past.
Cinematography here transcends its function; it becomes a soul, a silent witness. Each shot is a painting - raw, lyrical, and laden with meaning. The valley's surreal beauty stands in tragic contrast to its buried anguish, captured through visuals that linger long after the screen fades to black.
Baramulla is not merely a film - it is an experience, a requiem for forgotten voices and an ode to the endurance of truth. It stands as a testament to the power of storytelling, where art meets conscience. Hats off to Aditya Dhar and his brilliant team for crafting a cinematic masterpiece that doesn't just tell a story - it etches one into your soul.

Initially I thought Baramulla was a Horror movie but this turned out to be different and in a much pleasant way. A new kind of thriller supernatural experience in Hindi cinema. The cast, story and screenplay are superb. But above all, Manav Kaul is a gem. I watched this only for him. Last time I watched his epic performance in Nailpolish and now he delivered absolute brilliantly in Baramulla too.
Overall this movie is a great watch.

Baramulla has an intriguing core idea - blending a missing-children investigation with a supernatural thread rooted in Kashmir's troubled history.
The opening 30 minutes are excellent: atmospheric, unsettling, and anchored by Manav Kaul's intense performance as DSP Ridwaan, posted to Baramulla to probe disappearances while his family experiences strange events in their new home . The final stretch also lands well, tying the emotional and supernatural arcs together with sincerity.
But the middle hour is where the film loses steam. The pacing turns sluggish, scenes repeat information, and the story over-explains what could have been left ambiguous. This spoon-feeding drains suspense and blunts the impact of the climax.
Still, Baramulla remains a thoughtful, atmospheric watch with a bold narrative idea. A good film, but one that could have been much tighter. 6.5/10.

I am still overwhelmed after watching Baramulla. Cant believe i liked it so much.
In 2016 a DSP joins Baramulla polics station to investigate the case of mising child who is son of local ex-MLA. While investigating 3 more children becomes missing including DSP's own daughter Noorie. Police are thinking that the children have been smuggled out for creating future terrorists. On the other hand a supernatural ghostly event is taking place at DSP's residence. Who is kidnapping the children & whose ghosts are those residing in DSP's house terrorizing his family...that's what the story is all about with a tinge of suspense about the mastermind behind missing children. But I loved the ending which was highly charged with emotions.
A very unique Horror-Thriller story amidst picturesque Baramulla district where Manav Kaul & all supporting cast played their role beautifully.
Don't miss it.

Something different and unique storyline.
Very entertaining and must watch. All actor performances was good, story line well plotting, it keeps you hold on for entire movie , at first you won't figure out that what is going on and which side story is going but at end it will all sum up interestingly.

Movies is gripping keeps you on ur toes all the time Kashmiri past should never be forgotten. Aditya Dhar is one of the best story tellers in India please cast yami next time.some thing about Kashmir that keeps haunting when u visit these places each n every story deserves to be told dead or alive. Dhar family take a bow.
Can't say much without spoiling the movie but it is really well crafted. Captures the pain of those thrown out of their homes in the Kashmir valley. Strangers to a land they called home overnight. Betrayed by people they thought were friends. Massacred in cold blood. All in the name of what - who knows.

I'm not a Bollywood movie fanatic, but I decided to watch this one because it was on Netflix and because I really admire Manav Kaul's work. I have to say, it's an absolute masterpiece. I was hooked from the very beginning to the final frame.
The storytelling is gripping, seamlessly weaving together multiple tragedies while boldly highlighting deep-rooted religious flaws in a thoughtful, impactful way. Manav Kaul delivers yet another phenomenal performance, and the entire cast holds their ground with exceptional acting.
This is definitely not your typical Bollywood film. It's powerful, daring, and unforgettable.

First of all ignore the low ratings, those people are not intelligent enough to understand the underlying story of this movie.
The movie starts off slow but everything that is happening is for a reason. So stick with it and the ending will put it all together and you will be glad that you watched it.

Can't say much as to not spoil it, but thoroughly enjoyed the way the story was narrated and the direction. Some moments may be a bit slow, but they are all building up to the last big climax. Something missing in today's movies is an unpredictable ending, but Baramulla nails it in that aspect. Would definitely recommend.

Baramulla is a gripping story that keeps you on your toes from start to finish - whether it's the dark undercurrent of terrorism or the touch of the supernatural that unfolds through the narrative. The film blends these elements seamlessly, creating an atmosphere that is both intense and thought-provoking.
The performances are top-notch, with the actors delivering emotionally charged and believable portrayals. The kids, in particular, have done a fabulous job - their performances bring an authenticity and innocence that ground the story amidst its complex themes.
The storyline touches upon a very important and still unresolved chapter of Indian history, one that continues to evoke strong emotions and debates. Because of this, Baramulla may not be received equally by all - some audiences might find it uncomfortable, while others will welcome its courage and honesty.
As a common viewer, I can say I truly loved the movie. It's powerful, haunting, and stays with you long after the credits roll.

Baramulla is a gripping supernatural thriller set in snowy Kashmir, blending ghosts and real trauma from the 1990s exodus into a moody, emotional ride. Manav Kaul shines as a haunted cop facing eerie spirits and hidden horrors, with stunning visuals and a score that chills to the bone. It subtly celebrates interfaith hope-Hinduism's gentle karma offering quiet protection amid Islam's twisted extremes-ending on a redemptive note. Stream on Netflix; 10/10 for thoughtful scares.

I have just finished watching the movie and I can say this is such a riveting watch. Both the Aditya's have woven in an intriguing tale of Kashmir and Varahamula (Baramulla). The last 25-ish minutes of the movie are phenomenal which takes you back to 1990 and brings you back to 2016, leaving you feeling variety of emotions. If you want to watch a riveting suspence mixed with a bit of horror, this is the movie to watch.

The last scenes have me Goosebumps.
The starting was average and very hazy, nothing could be concluded and felt like God knows what's happening. Slowly it became clear! Acting skills were not thatgreat but story wise just loved it. It became predictable towards the end but still it was really engrossing!

I saw this as a new add on Netflix and thought of giving it a watch since i didn't have anything else to do. I wasn't really expecting anything out of this cause I had not heard about this film.
The film starts with what looks like child kidnapping and the typical "cop-with-a-troubled-past" trope. But slowly it turns into this unique genre-mashup, that I was not at all expecting. If I saw more, I will run the risk of saying too much and ruin it for you.
So, all I will say is I definitely recommend you watch this. It is a very well made film and will keep you at the edge of your seat. The characters are well fleshed out and the way the story blends all the different genres is something I have never seen in the past. Cinematography is dark and very well suits the theme. Background score is perfect. Actors have done a great job.
That being said, I will add the disclaimer that this is a heavy watch. It is not a light, no brainer and watch it and forget it film. It does stay with you for sometime.

The film delivered fantastic performances from its cast, each actor immersing themselves so deeply into their roles that you could genuinely feel the emotions they portrayed. The gripping storyline kept me engrossed from start to finish, weaving intricate plot twists that left me constantly guessing. I particularly enjoyed how the narrative seamlessly spun between reality and the supernatural, creating an atmosphere filled with suspense and mystery. This blend of the ordinary with the extraordinary not only enriched the plot but also heightened the emotional depth and intrigue, making every moment compelling.

And when you realise that it happened in reality to so many! Wow! Still under the shock! Aditya Dhar and his Kashmir universe. He is a good director. The story. The portrayal. The way he merged the supernatural and folk stories was amazing! While some may despise the theme, the execution was marvellous!
