I have to say, I really like Xiao's best friend Tong Xin and her son Peter. The protagonists' long-term friend Tian is also a very good addition to story. Without those three, I do not think Xiao and Lin Xi would have gotten over all their misunderstandings.

The side-couples are very different from the main couple and also have different issues to overcome which makes them quite a wonderful addition in general.

Lastly, I absolutely have to mention how wonderful, caring, and unconditionally supportive Lin Xi's dad is. He is an awesome parent and, despite all the rejections and condescension, makes an effort when it comes to his sister-in-law and father-in-law. In my eyes, he is truly admirable.
