Swargandharva Sudhir Phadke Guruji's biography is worthwhile, sending out a poignant message about following one's dreams. Yogesh's film is well-crafted enough to also work as a drama which highlights an artist's real life struggle.

Movie in itself is a compelling character-driven story that invites viewers inside the life struggling story of Sudhir Phadke (Guruji) and provides them with a timeless story throughout. Its message about obsession and music is worship is poignant and will remain relevant throughout.

The movie involves too many flashbacks so it doesn't seem like a smooth narration.

The story moves too fast in some places. For example, it is not clear why the young protagonist faces financial hardships though he is the son of a well-to-do professional. At another place, the protagonist is charged with stealing bread but this very short episode is left unresolved.

Mr. Sudhir Phadke was involved in the creation of many extremely popular Marathi songs, but very few are touched upon in this movie. This is a big shortcoming of the movie. His involvement in the India Heritage Foundation could have been shown in detail.

Apart from being seemingly jerky and incomplete, this biographical movie is entertaining to watch. All the actors have done their job well. The filmmakers have taken a lot of effort to recreate the scenes of the period.

The movie was well filmed! Stop giving hate for senseless reasons like actors and dialogues... You guys will not accept someones success and will be burnt by jealousy.. You must have creative mind and maturity to understand the down period of babuji's life.... I know no one will appreciate the efforts and stubbornness of writer and director yogesh ji!

Otherwise everyone just enjoys so called senseless Bollywood movies...just accept and appreciate the making of this Marathi movie which taught young generations about the down periods of legend babuji!... I'll rate this movie as 9/10.

Yogesh ji did 3 years of research on babuji and ofcourse that was dedicated work!

Recently watched the movie "Swargandharva Sudhir Phadke". I have read Sudhir Phadake's autobiography - "Jagachya Pathivar" -two or three times. It is quite challenging to make a biopic and even more challenging to make it on a popular person like Sudhir Phadke. But the perfect selection of all the actors, their acting, and the technical aspects of the film are all excellent! Babuji's songs in his own voice have been used very well as background music at appropriate places.

A must-watch movie for every Maharashtrian in the movie theatre!
