When I settled in to watch this small movie from Cyprus, I wasn't expecting to see something that would impress and move me so much. The images were beautiful with world-class photography and while I was convinced this would be a cliché romantic comedy, the ending completely surprised me. The storyline was so original, in fact I don't think I've ever seen something similar and the locations were fresh and new as we haven't really seen the island of Cyprus on this scale before. I also loved the leading actors - Orestes Sophocleous who I know from his amazing theater background and the mesmerizing Melia Kreiling. I found I could really relate to what they were going through...this movie is great for anyone who has ever been in love or ever questioned it.
I enjoyed this film. I have always wanted to go to Greece. Such beautiful scenery. The last part of this film took me by complete surprise! It was very nicely done. Like others I thought a sequel would be nice but then again that my ruin the fantasy. I would recommend this film if you are a hopeless romantic.
I loved this soulful film, set on the beautiful island of Cyprus. It's difficult to write a film that is predominantly dialogue between two characters, but the film is so well written, with such insightful and clever banter between the two quirky leads, that it is an absolute pleasure to watch. I couldn't wait to see how their relationship evolved and how they developed throughout their road trip through the vast landscapes that Cyprus has to offer. The two leads played off each other brilliantly, and I look forward to seeing more from both of them. An amazing film, shot on a tiny budget, but with huge heart! It reminded me that life and love is complicated, but worth the chase!
As The Raven, I collect the pretty-girls movies, and have had a lot to say about them after belatedly joining IMDb back in 2014. I was searching for the Heather Graham movie Committed and my computer wizard associate found the wrong one. Fortunately I am a stickler, a double-checker, so this aw, Greek-looking thing, I quickscanned through to about six minutes or so in. Yeah, there's at least a girl in this. And, yeah, she's quite pretty. So I kept it. Didn't expect anything much, though. For clearly, this is something small.
Yes, this is something small. But I've seen big movies that are just a slap in the face. Why do I even keep this? There is so much that I don't like.
I am currently pleasantly surprised. I am watching a total jewel. Like a small diamond that is really worth much much more than several Hollywood movies pooled together. And that's not even mentioning the weak stuff being regurgitated nowadays.
I stopped halfway to make this glorious experience last longer.
Few people know about this. That's evident because the contributions to this page were basically nonexistent before I came along today. Do you know what you are missing, all you incurable romantics out there? The all-time Valentine's Day movie!
The Raven heartily recommends this. Only to incurable romantics, of course. If you're not into that, you'd be bored out of your skull. But I applaud everybody involved with this movie. I could find nothing to criticise in the first 50+ minutes, and believe you me, I'm quick to notice where even great movies, immensely popular with me, have their flaws.

This is beautiful beautiful beautiful!
I saw this at the San Francisco Greek Film Festival. Without spoiling it for those who haven't seen it, I'd say that this film has a touching and memorable storyline. I truly was surprised. One of the most interesting aspects of the film seems to be the result of a tight budget (mostly due to economic crisis and perhaps the youth of the director). There are basically two characters; the rest of the film is mostly scenery -- as varied as can be found in the Mediterranean on the island of Cyprus. That is, coastline, beautiful pines, open arid spaces -- and a car. With a film done this sparely everything depends on a good story and also the capability of the actors. I liked both, and especially remarked on the female lead. But it became about the importance of honor, raised questions about what a real man is, and where we find the truth about what's essential. An affirmation of what is good, in my opinion. See it if only for the amazing job with such a budget. Shakespeare, too, was staged in early times with a kind of bare bones approach compared to today's cinema, so were the early Greek plays. Quality shows through. I won't spoil the story...but it's very engaging and also a mystery, with plot twists and pathos in the end.

There is always the risk that the veil could get swept into the chassis of the vehicle. The wearer could get strangled, her neck snapped. Similar has in fact occurred, whether with long scarves on any form of open carriage, or as depicted in this movie. So be mindful of this.
