This was truly a breath of fresh air. The plot was new and refreshing and really pulls you in. I have never ever seen a transmigration BL and did not expect much story wise so I was really surprised by how wonderful and unique the approach was. The acting was quite good as well and I quite enjoyed the chemistry between the main leads. It has an air of melancholy that I especially like and the characters are so likeable (yeowoon ily<3). I'm just happy there are more and more high production queer shows coming out. This one quickly rose to the top of my favorites and I really hope to see the same actors in other shows! Do give this a watch, it's so worth it!
Soooo I'm not like a BL fan, I'll watch something if the plot seems good. And seeing edits of it on tiktok back when it released piqued my interest , so i had to check it out! Little did i know i stumbled upon one of the best romance dramas I'd ever see. But seriously this drama was so incredible that I'd genuinely, personally, put it up against some rather large scale kdramas like mr plankton. IMO. I adore the actors and their chemistry, I think they did such an amazing job. And the storyline itself is so so well done. It expressed young love and mental health contrasts so well. I'm a 15 year old girl and I see myself in yeowoon hahaha. The cinematography was also beautiful. I don't even know what else to put except for the fact that I even read the entirety of its novel, keeping up with it as it kept releasing. And I don't really do that, ever. I'd love love love to see more from the directors, writers, and actors. It's obvious that the entire team is so talented. It deserves so much more attention.
Love for Love's Sake is such a breath of fresh air. The storyline is truly unique, and it's executed so well that I was hooked from the start. The characters are incredibly charming, and while some parts of it was light, it also doesn't shy away from tackling serious topics like homophobia and bullying.
One moment that really stuck with me was when Tae Myung-ha kissed his homophobic schoolmate-it was bold, satisfying, and powerful. And the way he came out and admitted he's gay in front of everyone? That took courage.
Watching this series honestly felt like being pulled into a virtual game myself. I completely lost track of time, I was so immersed. The background music? It just hits different. I can't even explain it, but every time it played, it stirred something in me.
The later episodes were emotionally heavy, especially as Tae starts to realize he truly has feelings for Cha Yeow-woon, but knows deep down they can never be together-not in a real way because everything is happening inside a virtual world. Their time is limited, and that made every moment between them feel even more precious.
What I really appreciated was how the pacing felt just right, never too slow, never too rushed. The story kept moving with meaningful events and emotional depth. At first, I thought this would just be a fun, lighthearted watch. The plot summary in MDL didn't give a hint. I wasn't ready for the emotional roller coaster that hit me later on. That plot twist near the end broke me. I cried.
This series taught me so much especially about loving yourself by learning to love others. There are still a few unanswered questions, but the core message is loud and clear, and it leaves a deep impression.
The acting was excellent all around, but Lee Tae Vin truly stood out-he delivered such a heartfelt performance and showed real range as an actor.
If you're looking for a BL that's not just sweet and romantic but also thoughtful, emotional, and full of meaning, Love for Love's Sake is absolutely worth your time.

The best bl series of 2024 and one of the bests so far , even i consider it the best asian series of 2024 so far . Even though the actors were their begining in acting and two of them are idol they made a huge impact on bl series and i appreciate every moment of it.
The only complain i have about this show is the poster ,cause when first i saw the poster i thought it will be a school normal story but once i decided to watch it ,everything was opposite what i thougt .
Apart from their acting i liked the cinematography so much and the music was so great and the beuty of the actors was something that made me follow all the 4 main characters on instagram .
