A fresh faced young girl works as a maid for a wealthy jewellery empire owners family, at a dinner for his birthday he announces he is formally marrying his personal maid.

His family are incensed at this then he mysteriously dies, the family shun his widow at the funeral and treat her so badly she retreats back to being a servant, after his will is read leaving her nothing this seems a shrewd move.

What follows is the horror of people with too much money and too little sense exploiting those with nothing.

As the untalented and unappetising family unravel, we take a malicious slice of schadenfreude with cream as things take a turn for the worse.

If you like The Glory Korean TV show you will love this, it's themes are universal, use the subtitles it's a blast.

Started off with a mystery and the premise makes the viewer root for certain characters. The unravelling of the mystery was entertaining to watch because of all the plot twists.

They all had to endure it because of the poverty back at home, and the seemingly high wages that "compensated" for the "back-breaking labour." In spite of that explanation, it's hard to believe that money is enough to motivate someone stay at this job when some of the abuse could maim them for life, making it difficult for them to continue earning any income at all.

The acting was quite convincing for the most part, for both sides of villains and protagonists. Thanavate Siriwattanagul, who plays Mawin, stood out for me. The characterization of the servants was quite one-dimensional for all of them, so one cannot say that they had much acting to sell to begin with.

Ending was satisfying, although a bit too fantastical.

I don't usually watch Thai dramas, but I saw a preview scene on Netflix and I thought "how interesting".

THE MAIN PROBLEM I had with this drama was the slowness of everything, not of the action in itself, but of the movement of everything. I had to watch this in 1.5× speed so I wouldn't die of boredom 'cause the pace doesn't do justice to the kinda nice plotline! It's not a work of a genius, but I think it would have worked better as a movie. There aren't a lot of important things that are happening and this drama focuses more on the mystery and the atmosphere.

Most of the acting was good and the storyline of the protagonist truly kept me interested, the actress embodied the character very well. But sometimes I couldn't feel the reality of the plot, so I found it chaotic at times.

Also, the music fitted the narrative plot, yet I couldn't stand the eerie and suspensful sound that was all over the episodes. I think they used it too much. I fell in love with the ending song of the finale episode.

Give it a try if you want, but don't expect much.

I was really looking forward to watch this series but OMG... I suffer from suspense and intense sounds and effects which is way way too much. In some scenes theres no need for those intense mood and the building up music is always there and its very annoying.

Im not sure whats the goal of the director here but most of the actings from all actors are "overreacting" but i try put up with it. Because i was hoping for it the get better.. unfortunately its not.

I could not get passed ep3 so please keep in mind that my rating and review are only for the first couple of episodes. Good luck and salute to those who can finished.

Disappointed :(

Wow that was soooo slow. The acting was terrible and the script was just awful. It felt so forced and fake. Each interaction felt like a real bad translation. The words kinda match their mouth, but then kinda didn't. There was no character development, and I don't really watch for that, but this was blatantly terrible that you could feel it. The twist at the end was not really even a twist. I have two stars because it could have been decently bad versus just terrible. If there's absolutely nothing else to watch on Netflix it would better for you to take a walk outside or just go to sleep. If you need help sleeping this will do the trick.
