She's Lost Control

This is my first review. When I saw the movie, I knew I had to write one.

I love the movie. It is one of a kind.

I like the subject. The movie uses as a subject a profession that I have never heard of. It is a controversial profession and the movie displays it in a very professional and well researched almost neutral way. So we are of to a good start.

I was enthralled by the neutrality of the movie. You watch it and it feels as though you are actually watching the scenes live. You are standing somewhere in the corner of the room and are surveying the scene. It is fascinating how this movie is able to overcome the wall between itself and the viewer. The realism of the scenes is just fascinating. I suppose this is due to the great acting and the camera work. But I could not pinpoint it anywhere. The pieces just seem to fit together in this one.

To avoid spoilers I will not go into detail. I hope you get a chance to watch this movie and enjoy it as much as I did.

When I its description on Amazon Prime I was excited. A woman sex therapist losing control. Sex. Drama. Rated for 18+. That's an amazing thing. But I'm totally disappointed.

I just didn't rate it with 1 due to the photography and (a little bit) 'cause feel sorry.

It's a regular story. Its sad. I feel pity 'cause the woman life is ruined. But it's a terrible movie. It has no point to be made. There's nothing interesting in the movie. Nothing at all.

The sex scenes are dumb, slow, cold. The drama parts are so boring. The film ends on the same way it begins: lost!

Ok the director wanted us to feel as depressed as the characters but at least it could have more sensual stories to warm it up.

Not sure what I was expecting from this film. (I largely watched it because of Joy Division's 'She's Lost Control'). So, as I had no expectations, I can't say I'm disappointed (except that the Joy Division song doesn't feature at all).

The film means well, showing the life of someone whose job it is to help emotionally and socially stunted people open up and embrace intimacy and relationships. Yet, despite the empathy and engagement this should engender it all feels so empty.

I was only mildly engaged by the main character. Everything happens so slowly and with a ho-humness to it. Things do ramp up at the end but even then it doesn't really lead to anything profound or interesting.

The movie was sort of interesting and could have been decent however it was ruined by an extremely poor ending. Actually you can't even call it an ending. The movie had no point at all what so ever. I don't understand why the movie was not completed better. It had potential and they seriously dropped the ball. The whole movie you think a few different things may happen however, they never do! Everything you think interesting might happen, well it just doesn't.

I really just want the hour and a half of my life back that has been now eternally lost!!!! I'm sure most people will expect more out of even a low budget movie such as this. Watch it and see for yourself. Once you lose your hour and a half of your life you too will understand!!!!

By the way this is my first review ever. I just had to warn the world of this poor movie script!!!!
