Emotional, subtle and smart, with an intricate plot that makes all the characters more complicated and more interesting as the story moves along. By showing the connections between climate change and the flaws in human nature, the film manages to take a seemingly small-scale story about personal relationships and gradually build it into a much bigger and more profound vision of how we need to change before we can hope to save the planet. The script, the directing and the acting all work well together to maintain the film's special combination of intimacy along with larger and more philosophical issues. I also liked the warmth and humour in the film, rare in a movie this ambitious.

The first half hour is worse than anything. As if all the plot and dialogue cliches are gathered from the worst Hollywood B-movies and entrusted to inept actors. As is customary in the worst sci-fi, the authors seem to believe that it's enough to throw in the magic words "formula" and "quantum" here and there to create the appearance of science. But at last, for those few who didn't leave the theatre because they had nowhere to go on this cold, dark evening, the movie begins. The plot is now interesting to follow, but alas, the dialogue has not become sparkling, and the actors and director are still unable to give depth and credibility to the characters and their actions. And finally we discover that the film has no ending. Maybe someday this script will be rewritten and reshot, and something good will come out of it - the storyline itself is not bad.
