फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
There are movies that come once in a while and take you by surprise, and this film did exactly that. With no big budget or star-studded cast, it still manages to deliver an almost perfect cinematic experience that deserves more recognition.
This is the tale of a couple who initially struggle to get married due to the man being bald and the woman on the healthier side. After their wedding, they face yet another challenge-struggling to conceive.
Set in Kerala, the story portrays middle-class individuals dealing with universal problems, making it relatable and as if it's unfolding right next door. The emotions it evokes tug at your heartstrings, leaving you wanting more. The beauty of the screenplay lies in its ability to handle such a serious subject with hope, leaving a smile on your face. The characterization is another highlight, as you can't help but fall in love with each character.
The casting is sheer perfection. Anand Madhusoodanan, as the lead, is an unconventional hero and his performance is a sight to behold. His innocence will undoubtedly carve a special place in your heart. Chinnu Chandni Nair is another powerhouse of talent, delivering a natural and above-excellent performance, especially in the emotional sequences. Even the supporting cast, including Althaf Salim, Gilu Joseph, Ann Jameela Saleem, Vineeth Thattil, and many others, elevate the film to another level.
The music perfectly syncs with the narrative, setting the tone without interrupting the flow, as there are no lip-sync songs. The pacing of the film is just right, ensuring you're thoroughly entertained throughout. The first half may remind you a little of Bala, Ujda Chaman, or Tamasha.
This is an emotionally charged movie that you must watch. It's a family film that wraps you in a warm blanket of feelings.

Just like the title "vishesham", the film is also a good vishesham to the Malayalam movie industry. With less familiar faces playing the major roles , the movie points out the marital problems that the society is facing.
The Filmmakers have done an excellent job by keeping the story line simple and convincing. Every Actors in the movie have done their best work.
What made me like the film was there were no unnecessary scenes, songs or comedy to make the film more appealing. Every scene in this movie was made with realism and natural emotions .
As an enjoyer of the malayalam movie industry , i say that this movie can be said as an example of good new Gen cinema.

Vishesham takes us on a very less-talked about journey of life-after-marriage. The film shines in its simple and straightforward story-telling and very well-developed characters.
Anand, although a first-time actor has a natural aura around him that shines throughout the movie. Chinnu, as always delivers a phenomenal performance. You keep watching them both with awe. Both their performances capture the essence of their character, that many of us can surely connect with.
The movie talks about the struggles and pain a couple might go through. And especially the emotional-connect that they have (or should have) to overcome these in life. The need for family and the strength one pulls from family-members and friends is also portrayed nicely.
Overall, Vishesham is a very feel-good film that will stay with you long after the credits roll. With a lot of humour and true-to-life story-telling, it connects the right dots all the way to the end.

Vishesham is a simple and average movie. The plot that deals with second marriage and pregnancy issues is pertinent and at times engaging. The main drawback of this movie was the male lead, his acting works for the initial bits to show vulnerability, but as soon as emotions kick in, his acting is really poor. This becomes even more apparent next to the female lead, who is really good and believable, and the male lead in those parts struggle. Besides that the other characters don't really get a chance to contribute as their arcs are poorly written and embedded into the movie. All in all, a decent subject, poorly acted and conceived in a pretty average way.
"Vishesham" is a refreshing take on a sensitive topic like infertility, presented in a light-hearted manner that resonates well with audiences. Anand, in his debut role, delivers an amazing performance that surprises viewers. Chinnu Chandni also shines once again, adding depth to the narrative.
The music and background score by Anand are highlighted as top-notch, enhancing the emotional impact of the story. Director Sooraj deserves praise for taking a light concept and executing it perfectly, making it accessible and engaging for the audience. The casting of Anand in a leading role was a bold move that pays off, as his portrayal adds authenticity to the characters, making them incredibly relatable for a middle-class family.
Overall, "Vishesham" emerges as a must-watch for families, offering a blend of realism, heartfelt storytelling, and memorable performances. It successfully challenges stereotypes and provides insightful perspectives on the issue of infertility, making it a standout film in its genre.
