Fatal Destination

I'm a lover of true crime and could watch anything. This, however, was extremely boring and the only thing that made it worse was the horrible narration by Jessica Biel. The narration is extremely dull and made me cringe every time I heard it. Literally had to tune it out to continue watching. I watched the first two episodes because I decided to give it another chance after the first one, but was still not impressed. You shouldn't do true crime shows if you don't know how to do them correctly, and you definitely shouldn't just make yourself the narrator because you like hearing your own voice. Ruined it for me.

This is a dull and uninspiring rewrite of an old story. Why??? This is such a disappointment. I feel this story has been told several times. Is this all that is available? Summer TV is so disappointing. The narration, I swear, could put you to sleep. Come on, let's get some interesting programming on the TV. I pay a lot for cable, and I'm so sick of all the same stories being sold as something new. Seriously. YouTube has it 100% more interesting than these cable stations. I think that I'm going to seriously consider changing my cable company. I'd like to think that a star would back something worthwhile.

I don't get why people are being negative about the show.

If yer into true crime, it's going to have a certain format for the explanation of the story. Beginning , middle , turn out, finish with some worded update at the end.

The only thing I could do without is Jessica Biel narrating. She is what made me apprehensive to watch the show at first. But I just tended to tune her out and it was , for me, better. Her name is already on it. We don't need more than that.

It's the same as Jenny McCarthy being in Very Scary People. Totally unnecessary.

Other than that, it fed my true crime bug. And I liked it.

Another dramatization of real life events gone bad with the details and timeline unfolding over the hour, this time in exotic locations. Nothing new here. This show pedantically moves through flashbacks, photographs, documentation, cell phone transcripts, interviews and so on with family, friends, law enforcement before revealing what was already painfully clear: someone met their end under terrible circumstances. The only positive side to the stories is that it's a lesson that no matter how good a person you are or how hard you try to stay safe terrible things can befall you. The question is: don't you already know this? Do you need to live this vicariously to get it? Watch only if you want to relive other people's fateful ending to somehow satisfy your morbid curiosity. There has been a glut of dramatized 'documentaries' like this from Gabby Petito to the little girl who vanished in Portugal. These kinds of sensationized stories will stop being produced only if the audience stops watching. That means you!

OK Jessica Beal, stick to your day job! Your narration and storytelling was cringe worthy. The stories were long and drawn out and the narration repeated itself way too many times. The interviews with the people involved in the investigation repeated themselves over and over also. It's like they had one sentence to tell and had to reshape that sentence 15 times over the course of the show.
