The Fallow Few

Just saw The Fallow Few and had to come leave a review. I had never heard of the director or any of the actors, but wow. This was seriously impressive. Super well made, totally professional, and just really powerful all around.

What amazed me most was how they told such a big war story using only a few locations. It never felt limited. The writing was sharp, the pacing was tight, and the performances were genuinely moving. I felt fully pulled into it from beginning to end..

This is one of those little hidden gems that deserves way more attention. Huge respect to the team behind it. I'll be keeping an eye out for whatever this director does next.

I had the privilege of seeing the film at its premiere at the Kingston International Film Festival. While all the performances were good, Bradley James was exceptional. I honestly have no idea why he isn't a household name. I do worry that, since the film isn't based on a Marvel comic book character and doesn't contain eye popping CGI, it may not get the viewership it deserves.

The Fallow Few is a mesmerizing piece of cinema-visually striking, emotionally resonant, and meticulously crafted. The direction is confident and assured, weaving atmosphere and tension into every frame. The film's aesthetic is simply gorgeous, with stunning cinematography that elevates the story and immerses the viewer from start to finish.

Bradley James delivers an exceptional performance, effortlessly commanding the screen with a layered, deeply human portrayal. His work here is both powerful and restrained, bringing real emotional gravity to the film.
