Play Dirty

Rossi is our central character on this "one night to get it right" crime-redemption story. Director Denucci does not spoon-feed us another "bad guy with a heart of gold" with Rossi's character. Instead, we are free to make up our own minds if the central character is one to cheer for, pity, or root against. Throughout the film, all three emotions came to me.

Pearlman, as always, delivers. Horror fans will find Laid to Rest's "Chromeskull" Nick Principe's performance as a nasty cult leader, to be a revelation.

Play Dirty does a nice job in working within the tropes of gangster/underworld films while also offering some unique perspectives and casting. For instance, the love interest that both our protagonist and antagonist covet ("Juicy") is a shapely, single mom, not the typical 25year-old, 100-pound waif damsel in Hollywood distress we usually see.

I might have done something a bit more ambiguous for the ending, something that you can decide for yourself if it works once you watch the film.

This movie is the definition of a one-night time-killer.. A couple of familiar faces couldn't save it-not that they even tried..

Honestly, it feels like nobody put in any effort, from the writer and director down to the cinematographers and actors..

Zero suspense, a script so cliché you'll want to fast-forward through the whole thing. Didn't grab me at all..

It's barely passable as background noise for a tired work evening when you've got absolutely nothing better to do - and instantly forgettable. But don't expect anything remotely worthwhile. I'm being extremely generous with a 3/10.. No.

Director Tom DeNucci does it again. The plot twists and turns, taking you on a wild ride with Theo Rossi's outstanding performance as "Grady." The cast is diverse and eccentric. The stuntwork is outstanding. The action is non-stop. Theo is simply awesome. Also loved Teresa Celeste! Man oh man! What a performance! Bravo to Ron Perlman, Michael Zuccola, Fred Sullivan, Tom Glynn, John Fiore, and Tom Jones. Great cinematography by Marcus Friedlander. Loved the cat named "DONNIE!" And Asher Liam Clay did a great job as Juicy's son. What did I love most about this film? The ENDING was a shocker!!! This is a MUST SEE MOVIE!!!

This film will have you zigging when you are expecting to zag, and vice versa..... so many twists, turns & surprises. Had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Once again, Theo Rossi has you completely invested in his character and no matter what, you're somehow always rooting for him. The actors don't just "phone in" their parts.... you can feel their dedication, heart & souls in this project.

What a complete delight to see Theo Rossi & Ron Perlman together again on screen!

Don't miss this one, it will take you on a tense and perfectly choreographed journey into the unexpected.........

Love this movie, keeps u on edge tell the end. Kinda Miami Vice, vibe. Grady is just trying to survive the night. Makes you hold your breath in how is this guy going to get through this. There is little comedy splashes throughout the movie, which is great. Keeps you glued to it. Surprise spin at the end.

Theo Rossi as Grady is remarkable. Definitely worth watching.

Theo Rossi and Ron Perlman back together. Always love the chemistry with the Actors, from SOA. There is a little sense of humor between the two.

Theo Rossi is an amazing actor, definitely needs to be the lead actor in all his Rolls. No matter what character he plays, he gives a remarkable performance.
