Now, rather than being purely scary, this movie leans more towards keeping you intrigued. Compared to typical Indonesian horror films, it feels a bit toned down. It starts off as a horror mystery but gradually shifts towards a more dramatic approach. There are some jump scares, but hardcore horror fans might find them underwhelming. As for the performances, the actors did a solid job portraying their roles convincingly. The cinematography is decent not bad at all. The background score, however, is quite familiar, resembling what we usually hear in horror films. Some scenes use sound effects to enhance the suspense, but it doesn't bring anything particularly new. Overall, Sebelum 7 Hari doesn't stand out much from other films in the genre. It's not exactly great, but it does deliver decent entertainment value.

Visually, the film is moody and atmospheric, with a haunting use of shadow and space that evokes a sense of lingering dread. The sound design is effective, amplifying the tension without feeling overbearing. While the scares might not hit as hard for seasoned horror fans, the film's emotional weight more than compensates.

Is it terrifying? Not quite-at least not in the traditional sense. But is it a well-crafted, emotionally resonant story? Absolutely. Awi Suryadi delivers a film that goes beyond the supernatural to explore the ghosts of our past and the burdens we pass down to future generations. For me, that's what makes Sebelum 7 Hari worth watching. It's a horror film with a heart, and that's a rare thing to find.
