Such powerful portrayal of a social evil, and an urgent need of the hour!!

Brilliant performances by Balaji Sakthivel, who easily has given his all-time best, followed by Sasikumar and Suruthi. All 3 of them deserve national awards in the respective categories.

The movie is so intense and the screenplay is just as good as it could have been. Hats off to the director Era Saravanan for creating one of the best movies for a long time. Am so surprised this movie didn't get the recognition it deserves. This needs to be celebrated at film festivals and by the people/lovers of cinema.

Ghibran's background score is intense and captures the mood of the film perfectly. He deserves more movies for his talent and work.

Not sure, Why the hell they have categorised this movie under comedy

This shows the cheap mentality of many people.

Very few known actors in the movie but everyone did a fantastic work. Movie is crisp and clear no songs in the movie which makes the movie very short. Hope it will win many awards and go many places.

Request the movie team to present the movie to many film festivals, this is a hidden gem which need to be shine. Kudos to the director and the whole team.

Unrealistic cliche - overall film review

Not only movie and story but even scenes are copied from many old films from 1980 era. During that period the Telugu films with similar story was impactful but portraying in today world is little unrealistic.

The so called real events narration at end of film are there to justify the movie but doesn't bother to explain on aftermath. It is hard to believe that none from government or judicial system has intervened and resolved. Even in north India where these kind of practices are prevalent have started rebelling so I am not convinced on extent of brutality shown in film.

Nandhan is a powerful and hard-hitting film that shines a spotlight on the deep-rooted issue of casteism in the country. The film is excellently written by the director, who takes an unflinching approach to presenting the harsh realities faced by marginalized communities. The narrative brings to life the struggles and injustices, offering a brutally honest portrayal of the societal system that continues to divide people.

One of the standout elements of Nandhan is its casting. Both Sari Kumar and Samuthirakani deliver stellar performances that elevate the film. It's refreshing to see actors of their caliber take on such a daring and socially relevant script. However, while the film excels in portraying the journey of the protagonist fighting against oppression, there is a missing piece in the narrative. After overcoming severe criticism and attaining power, the story does not delve into how he survives and propels himself forward in the face of continued cruelty. This could have added more depth and closure to the protagonist's arc.

Overall, Nandhan is a film that deserves recognition for its bold storytelling, compelling performances, and its commentary on societal issues. Despite the minor gap in the narrative, it is a must-watch, and I would rate it a solid 10/10 for its sheer courage and impact.
