Oh, there are so many plot holes, but ignore them and go with it.
I did wonder where Charles got money while he was stuck in the present.
This movie reminds me of Kate and Leopold which was a feature film with more well known actors many years ago. And Hallmark did a similar story A Timeless Christmas which also used the Moon as a key to the time travel.
I was glad that this movie avoided putting the main characters in crazy situations trying to cover their secret. The story mostly avoids scenes where a lot explaining was required to cover the secret. I was also glad that the leads didn't start out with the usual blatant antagonism. And I was glad Chelsea's boss wasn't overbearing with constant interruptions.
There is some discussion amongst characters about time travel paradoxes but not a lot of geeky talk.
I think some viewers will find the movie a bit slow at times. It tries to make up for it with making the relationship appealing.
Aubrey Reynolds and Toby-Alexander Smith had some chemistry but not quite sizzling The acting was mostly OK. The Quinn character was supposed to be weird and quirky. The dialogue is also OK but not sparkling.

This was cute and pretty predictable, but I ended up enjoying it. It takes place in Britain at a huge manor house from the late 16th century. The heroine has come from America to tour properties owned by a bank back in the states-in order to sell or auction them off. She goes to stay at one that she immediately falls in love with. While wandering around the basement she's met with a man in period clothing on the other side of a large mirror. The unreal part was how accepting the characters were of this part. Just not realistic. I get it, they only have so much time, but it just seemed too easy. When he comes through the mirror the story takes off. I've watched many movies about time travel and read way too many books featuring it so I can say this was right in line with most movies like this. I really enjoyed the man's character and the actor. The woman's character wasn't bad, but I didn't feel a whole lot of chemistry between the two. Still, as I said, it was cute and enjoyable and I'm glad I took the time to watch. Oh, and another thing I enjoyed was the caretaker's character. Now, he was quirky!
Some of these reviews are very cruel... hey it's a make believe fantasy movie. How we would like life to be sometimes with the way things are going these days.
I always enjoy the time travel movies. What if? And for a couple of hours you can time travel with the actors. And with all the bad things happening in our world these days, I love a happy ending. This movie had all of those things. Aubrey was sweet and natural, believable and the fact that she was not a well known actress kept you in the possible believable story line. And the male actor was a genuine nice person he kind of person almost every woman wishes she would meet. So, sit back and enjoy the fantasy, don't pick it apart, with what if's... remember when you were younger and did make believe, it doesn't have to be perfect to be enjoyable.

This has characters that I liked, as well as a plot a bit deeper than the norm. There are no drastic winding curves, but it is a very pleasant curvy country road.
There is a bit of whimsical time warping, but it is mildly plausible and I do love the action that required that the characters breach the barrier.
I found both of the leads quite believable. There are a couple of tricks borrowed from other time related tales, but I found them to be quite fittingly used. I found this to be a very enjoyable film and I loved the character development of the Gardner very much.
I did not expect the ending but was very pleasantly surprised. If you are interested in a cute little fantasy that has a happy ending then get a snack and something to drink because this is it!

The movie's simplicity is its charm. There's something refreshing about a film that doesn't overcomplicate itself with intricate plots or deep philosophical themes. Instead, it focuses on what matters: a simple story that's easy to follow, pleasant to watch, and designed purely for enjoyment. It's an easy watch, uncomplicated and perfect for those moments when you just want to kick back and enjoy a movie without having to analyze every detail or dive into complex characters. Sometimes, you just want something light, and this movie delivers just that. Its simplicity allows you to focus on the enjoyment of watching, without any unnecessary distractions.
One of the key aspects that make this movie so appealing is its lack of complications and heavy conflict. The plot is straightforward, and there's a sense of ease that comes with it. There's no need to stress over intricate twists or the constant pressure of something bad happening around every corner. For me, this made it easier to watch and enjoy-especially during times when I don't want to overthink. The movie is perfect for those moments when I just want to relax and pass the time without getting too caught up in heavy emotions or complicated narrative threads. The story is simple, and that's what makes it so enjoyable. It provides just enough entertainment without overloading the audience, and sometimes, that's all you really need.
Now, it's clear that this is not a high-budget film. You can tell that the production value isn't on par with major Hollywood blockbusters, and there's a certain modesty to how the movie is made. But oddly, this works in the film's favor. Its charm doesn't come from flashy special effects or elaborate set designs; rather, it comes from the simplicity of the story and the likability of the characters. The characters are far from complex, but they're undeniably fun to watch. They are relatable, simple, and endearing, which makes the movie feel warm and inviting. It's a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's one of its biggest strengths.
Among the cast, Charles stands out as my favorite character. His performance is heartfelt, and the actor portraying him brings a level of sincerity to the role that makes him incredibly likeable. His character may not have the depth or complexity of some others, but that's exactly why he works so well. He embodies the kind of down-to-earth charm that makes him instantly likable, and I found myself rooting for him throughout the film. His interactions with the other characters, especially Quinn, added a nice dynamic to the movie, giving it an extra layer of fun and entertainment.
Quinn, in particular, is another standout character. While Charles is my favorite, Quinn also brought a lot to the table in terms of making the movie much more engaging and fun to watch. His energy and sense of humor injected the film with a lightheartedness that made it much more enjoyable. His comedic timing was spot on, and he provided some of the film's most entertaining moments. The dynamic between Charles and Quinn is one of the movie's highlights, and it's clear that the actors had great chemistry together. Their back-and-forth created a natural flow to the story, making it feel effortless and fun.
On the other hand, Chelsea's character, while still enjoyable, could have been a bit more dynamic. At times, she felt a bit flat, and I found myself wishing for a little more energy or spark from her. While the actress did a fine job, there were moments when I thought she could have added a bit more depth or excitement to her performance. She had the potential to be a more fun character, but at times, she just didn't bring that extra layer to make her stand out as much as the other characters. Despite this, I still enjoyed watching her and thought she brought a nice balance to the group.
Overall, the movie is a nice watch. It's simple, lighthearted, and offers a break from the more intense, high-stakes films that often dominate the screen. While it's not a cinematic masterpiece, it's a pleasant and enjoyable film that's perfect for a laid-back viewing experience. The characters are lovable, the story is easy to follow, and it doesn't require you to think too much, which is exactly what makes it so charming. If you're looking for a movie that's not going to challenge your intellect or leave you emotionally drained, this one is a great option. It's the kind of film that's perfect for those moments when all you need is a fun and relaxing escape. The simplicity and charm are what make it a hidden gem, and it offers the kind of viewing experience that leaves you feeling uplifted and content.

- ट्रिवियाThe male lead is called Sir Charles, V. If this title is associated with knighthood, it is not inherited. However, the title of baronet, also styled "Sir," can be inherited. So if his ancestor were a baronet, it would be appropriate to address Charles as Sir. Otherwise, it would not. If this is clarified in the film, I missed it, which would be my own shortcoming.
- गूफ़The man from 1799 crosses into the 21st century and interacts with people and environments without showing any signs of illness. In reality, he would have no immunity to modern bacteria and viruses, many of which evolved long after his time. Without vaccinations, prior exposure, or modern medical care, he would likely fall seriously ill or die within days from infections that are mild or manageable for present-day people.
