The Last Cabin

So, after a particularly intense viewing experience, I decided I was going to kick back and try to relax with a little bit of that ol' found-footage nonsense, apparently featuring killers in clown masks waving chainsaws around.

Well, I guess I have no one to blame for this miserable waste of 70 minutes but myself, so I'll just make this short n' sweet.

There's absolutely no reason for this movie to be found-footage, other then the obvious, which is to keep the budget low.

The story is basically nonexistent, it's as if someone saw "The Strangers" and thought "let make something like that, with the change I found in my couch".

The movie also features, what can only be described in the most generous of terms, as something resembling a score, because off course it does!

Lastly, it's simply bereft of tension, scares or any elements that would justified it having been made in the first place.

I'm all for people picking up a camera and attempt their hand at moviemaking, but try striving toward expressing an original thought or at the very least have a semblance of an idea, before calling Action.

Great, another ridiculous 'found footage' garbage heap. Now, had I known that "The Last Cabin" was a 'found footage' type movie, I would never even have given it a second glance, as I absolutely detest that ridiculous genre of movies. It is just simply beyond my comprehension how these homemade movies pass as entertainment.

Sure, I had never even heard about director Brendan Rudnicki's 2025 movie "The Last Cabin" prior to stumbling upon it. And thus, without knowing anything about it, I opted to check it out.

I can't claim that writers Brendan Rudnicki and Kellan Rudnicki managed to put together a particularly interesting script. It was pretty generic, and for a seasoned horror movie fan, the movie just didn't cut it.

Needless to say that I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list, and that was actually something that spoke in favor of the movie. The acting performances were fair; nothing great or memorable, but fair.

My rating of director Brendan Rudnicki's 2025 movie "The Last Cabin" lands on a generous two out of ten stars.

The Last cabin is a documentary horror indie film.

Just don't waste your time watching this. It has many problems like acting the cast the plot the lighting. Everything about this is bad

There is not a single reason someine same will watch this. The actors aren't even trying to act. The director didnt even urged them to act right.

It is a low budget film which is also low effort. It was supposed to be scary but it isn't. All of these actors need acting school.

You can see from watching there is no effort in this. There is no sense of direction. Even the jumps Ares didn't scared me. I was in state of half sleep while watching this. Not recommended at all.

First off, the reviewers that give this a 10 and say it's a great movie ruin everything about movie review sites.

There's no way this a great movie.

This movie would need to climb a ladder to get up to bad.

All reviews that rate this a 10 are most likely family or high school friends that can't tell the people involved in this project just how bad it is.

It sucks. In so many ways.

The acting id horrible. But given the writing material I guess they did what they could, This website is telling me they a require a minimum character count.

Can I write this movie sucks over and over and over again.

This movie is so butt, who the heck made this because they need to be fired immediately. It looks like some teens went to Spirit Halloween and were like, "ooh let's make a movie!"

The acting is SO bad I've never seen something worse I want my money back right now WHAT is this. I also need Kevin's hair it's so shiny, but still do not watch it's such a waste of money. They couldn't even afford to add effects to they had to turn the camera away for every kill. Who the butt made this. The scariest part is when the lights went out. "Why did they do that" after a kill, you're joking. Also where did Kevin's body go after he died why did he disappear. These outfits are so butt get these people a new stylist.

It sounds like they're holding a script that was just edited out of the movie, wait they couldn't even afford to edit it out. It sounds like they're making it up as they go.

The spirit Halloween masks have me crying. Is this an add for spirit Halloween masks?

I don't even know whether to cry or laugh.
