Chaotic in the Best Way
Caleb Hearon had me crying laughing through most of this special. The jokes come fast, the delivery is sharp, and the timing is perfect. Even the smaller, quieter moments just set you up to laugh harder the next time. He's got a chaotic storytelling style that makes every bit feel fresh and unpredictable. Easily one of the funniest comedy specials I've seen lately.
Wonderful!
This is the best Christian comedy I've ever seen! His takes are fresh and fully align with my Christian values. I hope his success continues and he is able to get the jet that he deserves! His joke about how people hold up their hands during worship was my favorite! I pray for his continued success.
Simply not funny
I usually find most stand up comedians funny, however I did not find Caleb funny. His combination of delivery and perceived attitude simply didn't work. It isn't his material. I have seen other comedians make the subject matter Caleb uses both relevant and funny. I would be hard pressed to watch another one of his performances.
Heart Wrenching in the Worst Way.
This comedy show was outrageous. I support making comedy about your own struggles, but they things that Caleb talked about were not his to make jokes about. Suicide? Death of a family member? A concentration camp? This was not an edgy show, this was simply obnoxious.
This show should have come with a warning. As someone who has had to suffer finding out about a dead family member over the phone all alone, I could never imagine making jokes about the situation. If comedy is how he gets over his trama, that's fine, you do you, but that should be kept to friends, not broadcasted to the internet without a trigger warning.
Furthermore, the fact that he made such jokes after going to a concentration camp should be abhorred. I have personally been to concentration camps, and was living in Germany when I found out my family member had died while on the phone. I could NEVER imagine joking about such a haunting place. He may feel that as a part of the LGBTQ+ community that it is okay (I am queer too), as it was a concentration camp used against the LGBTQ+ community, but new flash: it's never okay to joke about a genocide.
Overall this comedy special lead to me having one of the worst nights of my life, as I was forced to recall painful experience after painful experience. Maybe if you've lived a life of sunshine and butterflies you'll like it, but honestly, I am shook that it is getting the positive response it has been.

I really enjoyed it
I thought Caleb was funny going into this, however this definitely cemented him as one of my personal favorite comedians. Though I still enjoy a lot of different comedians and their specials, this is still a strong hitter for me. Genuinely the only reason why I'm writing this review is because I saw so many people hating on what I believe to be a generational talent. He had many jokes that made me laugh uncontrollably. On top of that, the entire special leading up to the final joke is what imo makes specials so great. You have a cheeky title, you tell a joke surrounding that title, then you have a long joke at the end that ties it all together, and he nailed all of it. I cannot wait for what's to come within his career.
