Hollywood sure loves taking advantage of a sure thing sequel/franchise type of movie. It can only be carried so far along before they just become awful. This is a prime example of that. The primary problem with this movie is that Keenau Reeves set too high of a bar. This actress is a poor choice to portray a tough, John Wick type of assassin. She is just a fragile little snowflake thing. Sure, there have been plenty of tough women in movies in roles like this, she is not one of them. I kept checking my watch as the movie progressed.
Now, they did try and show that she was physically weaker and had to be creative. They even introduced a unique weapon. Threw in a little bit of humor into some of the scenes. But I just can't get past the weakness. Her female opponent would have been a better fit rather than this DEI hire.
Please don't do this to the James Bond series, Hollywood. Please (not that they'll listen to me).

This is more of a statement about the plot, the whole point, of the movie. Why does everything have to involve wars, and shooting, and punching each other in the face? The best part of the original Avatar was the discovery of the new world and seeing how the Na'vi. Seeing the other creatures, the flora and fauna of the area, all that, was completely enthralling. Then it had to abruptly go into that whole "white colonialists attack!! They're horrible" business, then suddenly, it's ugly war and killing. Doesn't anyone get tired of that? It's all movies. Lord of the Rings was pretty much a war movie. Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, pretty much everything is people punching each other in the face or shooting each other. So, if you ignore the warring crap in this movie, it's pretty good. It does not have the magic of those early scenes in the original. Let's just say I'm not fired up about the new "Fire and Ash" version of this movie, I may pass on that one, it's just more of the same of this one. It's just annoying, there are so few movies that aren't just violence everywhere, it's kind of sad. I just don't care for it anymore. You will too when you get older.
Totally agree with many other reviewers, Disney is milking this series for all it's worth, yet doesn't realize there is not much worth left. One grating aspect of this particular series is the sycophantic obsession with featuring Princess Leia, making her the darling of the series that everyone should adore and swoon over. Meanwhile, Luke, over in the desert is virtually ignored. In fact, thinking back on the episodes, did they even give him any speaking lines? While Leia is portrayed as the model of strength and greatness we should all admire, Luke was just like some little boy that needs to hide when there is trouble. Just put him to work, don't let him use his imagination or play. Not much different than the way it is in reality.
Another part of the series that was rather pointless, was the confrontations between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader. There was no suspense as to any outcome because we already know what happens in the future. I was not entertained in the least in this aspect of the show.
In general, the series was okay to watch, nothing special. I wouldn't watch it again. And I'm glad I didn't pay any money to watch it (thank you public library).
