This review is for this episode and Ted Lasso as a whole.

This show treats its audience as Ted Lasso treats Richmond fans. Every character big or small is allowed to evolve and be a complex person. And these final episodes let us be privy to every earned interaction and end with all the ribbons tied into beautiful bows.

The ability to be an interesting human isn't reserved for main cast only.

And Ted Lasso himself is a great example of the fantastic writing on this show. The central character generally has an unfortunate stereotype for being the least compelling and honestly straight up boring one on the cast. However Ted is someone who takes that trait and turns it in the best possible way. He is a relatively uncomplicated straight-shooter; where "nice" goes by its most accurate definition, and is altogether Positive. And that extreme specificity in his character is also exactly the secret ingredient that makes the entire cast, central, main, and side (and side, and side, seriously every character in this bloody show is three dimential!) exceptional in my eyes.

Everyone is ridiculous and messy and unique and willing to grow.

It's honestly difficult to choose favourite characters and storylines. Its almost annoying how much I appreciate every character.

Instead here are some characters I feel I've never seen done quite like this before: Rebecca: The epitome of "girlboss" in the most badass unpandering way possible. A legitimately wonderful chracter who has some of the best and most dramatic character arc changes of the entire show (and thats saying something!).

Coach Beard: the silent type but weird. One of the most authentically himself characters I've ever seen. He is a mystery you will never fully unravel, but you know all you need to know. Someone willing to take risks, and get through life in the most interesting way possible.

Dani Rojas: what can I say, he's hilaious and extremely attractive. His moments are genuinely some of my favourite TV scenes, especially between him and Zorro.

Nate: the biggest swings from rising star down to pitiful judas (even though honestly, other people have done way worse but this hit way more) to one of the most redeemed and obviously healed souls in the entire show. Wonderfully played just like the entire cast with Nick Mohammed giving his all.

The trio of Keeley, Roy, and Jamie: all sweethearts in their own rights, and some of the kindest souls I've seen played on camera. Nuanced and lovable all three have arcs both healing and painful, with many steps and turns along the way.

Their friendships are one of the loveliest parts of the entire show, and the best example of a love triangle I have seen to date.

The team: the absolute treats of the series. Every scene with the team showing some fun insight into a player as a person were integral to the show being the greatest example of a found family trope I've ever seen.

It was a beauty to experience and a real joy to fall in love with each and every member of this large and gezellig (am I using this right?) family.

I will give anythinc to see a spin off series staring Rebecca and Keeley running a women's football team. Farewell for now.

The lowest lows followed by the highest highs make one of the best episodes of television I've ever seen. Absolutely brilliant, and had me sobbing for multiple reasons on multiple occasions. Amazing acting all around. With moments I have taken the time to write down.

*the Dani/Van Damme storyline *chefs kiss The sheer love between all the characters, romantic but mostly otherwise, was exactly what I needed right now.

As someone who was worried at the beginning of the season, I have really experienced an emotional turnaround. Ted Lasso is producing some of the best series on television right now.
