Still Wakes the Deep: Siren's Rest is an enjoyable, well made addition to the initial game Still Wakes the Deep.
The voice acting was very convincing. The visuals were solid. The mechanics were quite well made and intuitive to use, even if the third-dimensional turning system was a tad bit confusing at first. And the basic premise of the game was simply enjoyable.
However, it feels like nothing new was really uncovered in this addition. Perhaps if the creators added some extra lore behind the main character from the initial game, or if they explained some of the ambiguity of the terrorizing monster, it could have felt more like it actually added something. Instead, the game is rather short-only taking about an hour and a half to finish it-while it could have had more potential. It simply felt unnecessary in the end.
Though it might have been an 'unnecessary' addition, it was still quite an enjoyable ride. I particularly like the way the game doesn't make it too difficult to find what to do and where to go, without making it too easy to actually succeed. The way it takes place under water with the diving system also felt new, which really worked out.
Overall, Still Wakes the Deep: Siren's Rest is an enjoyable, though perhaps unnecessary addition. But it's definitely worth the time as a stand-alone without high lore expectations.

The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! Is exactly what you'd expect from a slapstick comedy with Leslie Nielsen at the helm-an over-the-top, laugh-out-loud experience filled with absurd jokes, silly sight gags, and endless puns. The humor is undeniably ridiculous, bordering on silly nonsense, but that's part of the hilarious charm. Nielsen's deadpan delivery makes even the most ridiculous lines land perfectly, and the supporting cast adds great energy to the madness.
While the plot is thin and serves mainly as a vehicle for the comedy, the film delivers consistent laughs and clever parodies of police procedurals. Some jokes might feel dated or hit-or-miss, but the sheer volume of funny moments more than makes up for it. It's a goofy, lighthearted romp that doesn't take itself seriously and invites the audience to do the same.
If you're in the mood for classic, absurd comedy that doesn't shy away from being utterly ridiculous, this movie is a must-watch.

That's My Boy is an outrageous comedy that leans hard into raunchy humor and absurd situations, with mixed results. Adam Sandler plays Donny, a washed-up party animal who reunites with his estranged, uptight son (Andy Samberg) just before the latter's wedding. What follows is a loud, crude, and chaotic ride filled with wild set pieces and inappropriate jokes.
The film thrives on shock value, and while some of the gags land-especially for fans of Sandler's over-the-top style-many feel forced or repetitive. Sandler's exaggerated Boston-accented performance is divisive, but he fully commits, and Samberg brings some much-needed groundedness to the madness. The chemistry between them helps carry the film through its more uneven stretches.
There are moments of surprising heart and even a few laughs that sneak through the chaos, but they're buried under layers of crude humor and plotlines that stretch believability. Still, for those in the mood for a wild and unapologetically inappropriate comedy, That's My Boy delivers enough entertainment to be watchable.
