Despite some of the negative reviews I actually found this series enjoyable & it kept my attention (no scrolling on my phone whilst it was on in the background!). The acting was good & I especially liked the two main female characters. The only character that I felt let it down was that of Lee (a weak & lazy man) & I really couldn't envisage Ria being with someone with those traits, though the actor who played him did a good job. I thought the ending was perfect. Overall, it's an 8/10 from me!

The BBC should have stopped at series one. Why is it that NW plays the same character in every programme that she's been cast in ... & if I'm being honest, the ridiculous facial expressions are getting very annoying ! One bizarre aspect of her character throughout this show is that she speaks to the camera. The incessant 'jokes' in each episode are cringeworthy.

Please stop putting this woman on our screens. She is no Suranne Jones or Sarah Lancashire.

I found this series at times fast paced & engaging and at other times a little slow. Having said that I'm glad I stuck with it as the last few episodes made it worthwhile. Jon Hamm is excellent in his portrayal of Andy Cooper "Coop". Hoon Lee as Barney is another great character & was well cast. Give it a go, it's definitely watchable and I'll be watching series 2 when it hits our screens.
