The world is hard right now. It kind of feels like we're back in the cold war period. But this movie was a bit ridiculous with terrible costuming, and nothing much for a story line. It was never meant to be oscar worthy. This whole movie was about kicking the bad guys behind and frankly it was nice to see. Just like all those terrible action movies from the 80s, it was cheesy and just plain fun. Like rambo meets the vampire the masquerade without actually having vampires. It was worth it. As long as you don't expect too much and remember that it's meant to be exactly what it is.

Statham may be the same character but he does it well.

I don't understand how anyone can't like this. It's different, it's original, and the planet is completely and utterly interesting. The whole thing makes me wonder how a planet could have evolved like this. The whole planet seems deadly to any living thing, and yet it has water and breathable air. I'm very curious about the evolution of it's creatures and how they relate to each other. Plus, there seems to be alot of very different biomes in a relatively small area so how could that be possible? And are there truly intelligent creatures to make up for it. Evolution tends to force at least a bit of intelligence in order to adapt. Monstrous and fascinating.

I highly recommend this show.

PS - I love the cartoon design. It's so nice to not see something in anime for a change.
